I just saw the demo for Uncrush currently on sale by Penguin. Any info / feedback about this? I was also wondering if this is the same as Carnazzo's Uncrushed...

Just got this, the method is SOOOOOO unexpected. You will have to get something from most computer/office stores

The move advanced method may take 30 seconds. Once you set up, you only have about a 10 minute time frame to perform the effect. I imagine that the sooner you perform it, the better. It does require a special something that I've used for another marketed effect and can be found at pretty much any store that sells computer supplies. It is only around $3. I think this would be awesome for a tv spot or something, but for the real world, it's not that practical. |

J Stessel also had something similar as a bonus on his Stessel Button effect. Which to me, this type of thing is just that, a nice little bonus.

The practicality of this effect is pretty grim. I am glad I only spent $5.00 for this. Eric says this effect was YEARS in the making. Wow. I am sorry but I can't see how. Not much of a tutorial video and not much to the effect. I do like some of Eric's stuff- but this is definitely not one of them. RNK

What he uses is really the only thing I can think of that would do this anyway. Maybe he tweaked the part that gives 10 minutes before you have to do the trick! RNK

Is there any tell tale noise from the gimmick when the uncrushing is being done??

No suspicious noise at all. Just the popping of the plastic bottle walls.

I tried this with a recyclable water bottle, and I followed the tutorial exactly, but it didn't work. Does it need a special type of bottle?

It works with many bottles, but not all. The thinner the better.

There is a glaring misspelling in the Penguin ad. Nobody took the time to proofread before going live?
I'd fix that pronto! F |

I managed to get in and fix it.
You're welcome Penguin crew. No charge this time around, maybe you can help me someday. Sorry you had to see that dman. F |

Just got this and watched most of it before giving up.
Can see its the kind of thing that will never get used. Setup is not practical. I think it was mentioned above, but he said he took years to perfect it. After discovering the principle, what were the other years of research put into? How to find a guy on a dark street corner that was not wondering why you just set the empty water bottle down on the ground and pretended you just "found it"? Oh well, done a lot worse things with $5....I think? Tom |
