Jamie who are you, why running away when you can easily answer?
I only own butterfly but if Spypad is a rip off why Mark Elsdon is selling and releasing other people ideas? |

In fact I am running TOWARDS people trying to expose the SpyPad here to stop it. You are accusing Mark Elsdon of being a rip-off artist. That is outrageous. You should apologise immediately for spreading rumours about a respected member of our community before your own reputation is tarnished.

Jamie, step down from the pedestal you put yourself up...
I'm not accusing, read very careful my words: "if then why" Once again you are not answering but avoiding... The only question made was: what are the differences between Spypad and Butterfly? Difficult to understand? Cheers mate |

I thought I had answered this already but here you go. Difference between butterfly and spypad, keeping in mind others may disagree. They are broadly the same in so much as the gimmick you get impression on is the same in terms of workings, albeit not identical. For me, they are similar but gimmick is better hidden in the butterfly than the spypad. Also, the butterfly is designed to be moved from pad to pad. The spy pad isn't designed for this although you could take gimmick off.
They both work but I think butterfly is better. That said its more expensive and you get a nice dvd with ideas with spypad. I'll be sticking with butterfly. I think spypad is a lower cost version of butterfly. |

The fact that you can move the butterfly from pad to pad is fantastic.

From my dad, John Riggs;
"Please stop. The Spy Pad IS NOT a rip off of my Butterfly. I've spoken to Mark and we are on the best of terms. Please do not malign him further. I did not pioneer the magic slate as an impression device. Robert Nelson wrote of it. My innovation was applying the inverse square principle of magnetics to impression devices, which I did by placing two pieces of magnetic vinyl face to face. Mark's pad works on an entirely different design. My principle HAS been ripped off, by at least two people, but not by Mark. Please, I beg, if you're going to castigate anyone, do it to the people who deserve it, not Mark. Thanks so much. John R." FYM |

Jamie I didn't lost any credibility because I didn't said it was a rip off but it seems you want me to look like that and that's fine for me.
I'm fine with myself young man, so you can think whatever you want about me - it's only your perception and you have your right to be wrong. Cheers mate |

I have this, and think it is just great! it is simple and I forsee being able to use and transfer the gimmick to new pads for years. In fact, I might not need to ever purchase a replacement. The method is quite simple. I use this in a routine that involves several participants and the method flies by everyone.
