For those who may be interested - a publishing house is putting out my THE MAGIC BOOK, in trade paperback, for the public. So, you can have a copy for a very, very, low price. If you're interested, email me at my personal email address (listed under this post with the word "earthlink" in it. (Haven't had a chance to list the book on my magic website. Best - Harry L.

The Magic Book.... one of my all time favorites. I still go to it as reference material.

It is a book that should be in your library.

I remember a long time ago Harry's The Magic Book being sold in a very nice small paperback edition...

Yes, after Putnam & Sons published the original back in 1977 - McGraw Hill put out the paperback version. This is a different publisher, different version, same material. HL.

This book is a true must-have "go-to" source in any magic library. Heck, any "regular" library for that matter...enough magic here for anyone!

Mr. Lorayne, you say it is the original and not the copy from the Classic Collection. I'm not sure if it has been addresses elsewhere but might you clarify what the difference is between the original and Classic Collection? Also, is the price difference worth getting this over the CC? I looked at the CC on your website and, while I have no doubt to it's quality, my budget is really strained at the moment. Would I be better getting this now or holding off for a while to save up for the CC? Thank you so much for your answer and your contributions to the magic community, as well as your willingness to converse and help all of us.

Steven: The Classic Collection contains the re-write of C-UCM, in which I left out a couple of items - items that I'd been told few were using. One of the problems here is that I have only three copies left of TCC, 1, and they will not be re-printed. So, saving up for it may not "work" for you. Wish I could advise you. On March 29th the publisher is raising the price of the current publication of THE MAGIC BOOK. So, perhaps it'd be best for you to send $20.00 to me now, etc. I really don't want to try to sell you anything - has to be your choice. Best - Harry L.
