A few days ago I had a Skype chat with Atlas to discuss the format of my lecture day. With the boring stuff out of the way Atlas gave me a demonstration of his up an coming release titled "Train Tracking". Now although Atlas had mentioned this to me in the past this was the first time I had the pleasure of witnessing it first hand and my reaction...
Stunned silence followed by one of the biggest grins my face has had the fortune to bear, this is the stuff of dreams. Today I followed up our chat by quizzing Atlas when he was releasing this and he kindly gave me permission to give you advanced knowledge about it, you can all thank me later As a mentalist the grail would be a system for revealing any word without the need for anything to be written down, without any forces, stooges, peeks or otherwise. If you want a system for revealing a genuinely thought of word then look no further, "Train Tracking" does this beautifully and even allows you to reveal other thought of information at the same time. If its of any interest when Atlas performed this on me I thought of the word "Puzzle", this was genuinely a free choice on my part without restriction. (I chose this word as I had been working my way through the Puzzle Book that Neil S sent me for my birthday (Thanks Neil). I also hasten to add that this book/topic was never mentioned to Atlas during our chat and nor was this book visible at the time either. There are so many things that impress me about "Train Tacking" the fact that it can be done over the phone or on Skype in the exact same fashion that it can be done in person. The fact that you could perform this naked (which Atlas was when he Skyped me), the fact that he revealed so much more along the way. After asking Atlas if he was going to release this (the point of my post) he suggested that he hopes to release this in 3-4 months as a limited edition book. I for one have asked him to keep me in the loop and as a self assigned ambassador for amazing mentalism I will leave this knowledge with you to do as you require Atlas also suggested that his book may contain a couple of bonus routines one of which I'm very familiar with titled "Postcard Opener". In this effect you ask a spectator where they would like to go on an imaginary trip. You also ask when they would like to go on the journey. You thirdly ask them to think of any word that would describe their intended holiday (this isn't ever written down). You then produce a post card from your pocket which visually depicts their destination, this is post marked/stamped with their selected date and printed across it is the word that they are thinking of. I for one can't wait until its released, I feel so fortunate to have witnessed this in action. Atlas my friend you are amazing!!!!!
As a mentalist you must always ask yourself what if! And throughout your life you should seek to ask and answer this question over and over again, only then will your wildest dreams become a reality!

Sounds great but also sounds like a lot of mental gymnastics. How much steering do you go through to get there?

I have had the pleasure of spending time with Atlas on two occasions now. The first being in Blackpool and the second at Tabula Mentis in Birmingham.
Atlas is a very amiable and affable character who gives meaningful performances. In Blackpool I was treated to a performance of Postcard Opener and in Birmingham (after me rudely badgering him) Atlas took me to one side and performed Train Tracking. At no time did I feel steered in any way, it felt very natural and justified. No props involved, and the outcome of Atlas revealing every piece of information had me dumbfounded. My name is definitely going on his limited list to procure this. Rasp. |

It has become apparent, in recent years, to those who have come to know his work, that Atlas is a mischeviously clever man!
Really enjoy his thought process, which is lateral, horizontol, vertical and eventually detours under the fundation of the building you're stading in! Looking forward to hearing more about this. e |

Sounds awesome, is calling out letters (like in an anagram) involved?

I was train tracked twice in a row by Atlas on Skype the other evening. I made a totally free choice and mentally selected the word kitchen. We had a nice chat and then he hit me with my thought of word. I really didn't think he would get it. I thought of another word, hand, and of course he got it in probably less than a minute.
The style of the effect is really enjoyable for the spectator and I really was not expecting him to reveal my word without fishing etc. What is amazing about this is that I really had a completely free choice, not from a category or with any restrictions, nothing is written down. It really is that clean. This is pure mentalism at its finest Sea
I love post its

I have alson been hit by the freight train of bewilderment that Atlas is calling Train Tracking.
I was Skypi-fied into wonderland by Atlas. This is yet another of Atlas' blockbusters. I don't think Atlas has put out anything that would score less than a 10 on most people's feedback forms. To be honest although he's called it Train Tracking........... Most people, on seeing it, will just call it Mind Reading. steve |

I remember Atlas mentioning this a few months back in one of his products.
( can't remember where I read it. ) But I was intrigued then. You can bet anything Atlas puts out is a guaranteed winner in my eyes. And I will be keeping my eyes open for this. |

Thanks everyone for all your enthusiasm and interest!
It was a nice surprise to see so many anecdotes here with so many kind things said about me personally - I can assure you that they are entirely unmerited. For anyone looking for a release date, I'm hoping to have this finished by June. Best, Atlas |

I will be looking forward to this release. Anything that comes from this man's mind is pure gold, 'The Prodigal' for instance was a game changer for me. Can't wait!

Hi All,
I was fortunate to see "Train Tracking" when it was just a single sheet of scrawled notes Atlas had shared with me. I believe my comment to him was, "That's a bad *** idea." I know he's made many refinements and changes since then and this will surely kill your audiences. Regards, Steve

The pace of change and refinement this art is experiencing is breathtaking. I'm certainly no creator (I'm just not wired that way). But I do consider myself super fortunate to be part of learning, and then privilege in performing for people this new-wave of material. Atlas, consider me well and truly on board the train tracking experience!
