I just don't have enough time to make that a possibility. Best, Atlas |

To what extent can this withstand scrutiny if you have a crowd and one of the members of the crowd videotapes a performance. Is it something that can be easily backtracked on video, since it potentially relies on linguistic deception?

Mike - the method really lends itself to 'jazz' performances and as a result, there are a lot of different ways to present this. When I include Train Tracking in my stage performances, there is nothing to see that an audience could use to backtrack. Up close or over the phone, there are several ways that you can make the final revelation - making backtracking more impossible. But, in general, because what happens is so impossible - especially since you only do something and the rest of the something is never addressed, the participant can't see a way forward and can't reason out what happened. Plus, in certain situations, there are some pretty nice things that you can do that have no something or other and the participant who may have had a theory has it instantly erased. Alex - Yes, this is an English only effect, but the method can be applied to other languages. I just don't speak them and don't have the capacity to make those alterations where needed. If you are fortunate enough to be bilingual, then once you understand the method, I'd expect you to be able to make this work for your chosen language. Blake - I am working to finish the book before I make any firm decisions on pricing. Right now, I'd expect the book to cost around £150 and be ready around the end of June. I haven't decided exactly how many copies will be made or how to release this. I may release all the books at once, or I may release them in waves over several years in a manner similar to the way the Grismer lock is sold. For those who are interested, I've included an extract from the book: 'You now have in your hands the most closely guarded secret that I have to offer. Imagine being on the phone with a potential client, and performing Train Tracking for them. Reading the mind of a person that you just met over a long distance and under impossible circumstances. I've booked shows using nothing but this method. After reading this book, you will have the ability to ask someone to think of a word, and you'll be able to tell them what they were thinking of – with no props of any type involved, and, should you so choose, from a distance. I've had several other performers tell me that this ability is their 'Holy Grail'. What is perhaps the best thing about this method, is that it has an inherent versatility that lends itself to creativity and flexibility in presentation. This will be evidenced in the text that follows. But before we proceed, I'll give you a warning – There is work to be done here. I am evidence that it is thoroughly possible, and I can promise you that the reward is worth the labor. There is freedom that comes with the mastery of this method. It imbues you with a unique sense of confidence – you are comfortable in your own skin and never again shrink when confronted with the question: “You're a mind reader? What am I thinking of then?”' I hope that helps to address some of the questions out there. Thanks to all for your interest and enthusiasm. Best, Atlas |

Didn't expect the book to be £150. I may not be able to afford it but I know it will be worth the money. People who are going to buy it enjoy the book Although if I have enough money when the book comes out I myself will be buying the book lol

Hi Atlas,
What is the success rate of the original method? I understand there may be variations and outs, but if one uses your original method without the use of any outs, what is the probability that it will be a successful hit? Is it 100% or less? If less, what is that percentage? Thanks for sharing! Regards, Mike |

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the question. It is difficult topic to address because of the way Train Tracking is presented. You are ALWAYS reading your participant's mind. There is a sort of inbuilt protocol in which it is pretty impossible to fail, and you are always doing something impressive. However, as far as being able to tell your participant their original word - statistically speaking, you can be wrong, but you are nearly ALWAYS right, especially if you have learned the method and have practiced it to the point of mastery. And if you are going to be wrong, you know it, and can adjust your performance as required so that you never look as though you've failed - though, as I've said, it is pretty unlikely. Especially if you begin performing this following the development I've recommended in the book. I've performed this countless times and could count on two hands the number of times I have been wrong - and each time you perform it and are wrong, you learn from the experience. In fact, last week, I was performing in Leeds with Tom Crosbie. Peter Turner came along to see my act and I used Train Tracking in the show. Pete said he loved the stage handling. In fact, when you perform this for the stage, there is absolutely no way you can fail, unless you are doing something horribly wrong. After the show, a girl asked me to read her mind and I performed Train Tracking for her. I didn't realize this, but Tom (whose closing piece gave me goosebumps - it was fantastic) was watching over my shoulder and said afterwards something along the lines of 'That is what real mind reading should look like' - and that girl was one of the ten or so whose word I COULDN'T get. So, as I said, even when it doesn't work out the way you want it to, you are always performing something strong. Anyway, it is a tough subject to address as your success is tied to your presentational choices as well, as part of this depends on how willing a performer is to stretch themselves. I was telling Pete the other day that I got a nine letter word - Fireplace - and that was a challenge, but I was up for it, happy with the risk, and wanted to see if I could do it. So word size is an element that needs to be considered in answering your question as well. As a performer, it is easy to keep your participant to shorter words, but you don't stretch yourself and you don't improve as a result. On the flip side, if you keep them to a reasonably sized word (seven letters or so - most words people think of are six letters long), you are pretty much always right. So, when considering your question, word length can also be a factor. But if you are just starting out and you follow the advice in the book as regards learning the method and developing your performance, you're going to be right nearly all the time. It is usually only when you feel comfortable with Train Tracking and try to stretch yourself that you can miss the word. I hope that helps! Best, Atlas |

I sat and had dinner with Atlas last night. It was the first time we had met since he had recently moved to the same area I live. We chatted for hours and really hit it off before our topic of conversation even moved towards mentalism. Atlas made reference to this and gave me a performance of it...
He asked me to think of a word....I did We went through a "Day dreaming" proccess where I was asked a series of random questions. He listened to my answers and after about 90 seconds blurted out my word 100% at the first guess... My word was: Router Utterly amazing principle Atlas has going on here and I for one cannot wait to finally read the finished book
