Personally, I think the three Barrie Richardson books are terrific - especially "Theater of the Mind".

I like Osterlinds work - insights from a practitioner and worker; but T A's Mind Myth and Magic is essential reading I think ..

There are many books out there but yes, Richard osterlind may be what you are after. Also, Bob Cassidy's fundamentals is a must for any serious performer and I always recommend Paramiracles by Ted Lesley as I feel this book is a hidden gem.

Osterlind has the best writing style IMHO.. It's like he's sat round a table talking with you. Plus solid content from a worker who's seen it all.

In terms of bold practicality, Ted Lesley's "Paramiracles" is in my view up there with the best.

I second the suggestion to review Bob Cassidy's 39 steps in addition to his own excellent works (particularly The Artful Mentalism of Bob Cassidy and its sequel).

I second the Barrie Richardson theater of the mind. Airtight Prediction and the phone book test are my favourites.
Best wishes, Harry

I have made it through PS1, and I am working on PS2. I picked up a lot of insight for my rountines from PS1. I can't wait to get to PS3!

I also love Prism by Max Maven and the Jinx. TONS of material there.
The great trouble with magicians is the fact that they believe when they have bought a certain trick or piece of apparatus, and know the method or procedure, that they are full-fledged mystifiers. -- Harry Houdini
