This is something I did NOT think I'd end up having to come & ask advice on but......
I tried to order an apron from Twist 'em up, but for some reason the 'submit order' icon wont click. I tried emailing them, but the email came back as undelivered?!? I tried to order one from MBD2, but again somehow the order wasnt recieved! I've checked my card & account, and all's well on that end. So, anyone suggest another place to get a good twister's apron? I've been checking numerous magic & balloon sites, and it turns out theyre rather rare.

Man, Twist Em Up is great apron, I'd keep plugging away on that to try and get in touch with them and get one of theirs (it could just be a short term glitch on their end ). Try check one of the facebook groups to see if anyone knows who owns the company and you may be able to get in touch directly.
To answer your question, though, Ken Shute makes aprons. I don't have one so I can't comment on the quality, but I recently ordered a different item from his store and there were no hassles: http://www.thestencilguy.com/stencils.ht......t=normal

I don't think it's oversized at all... it looks about the same as my Twist 'Em Up and I didn't really have enough room on that for all the balloons I was carrying. As to price, I think it's a little more than a comparable Twist 'Em up, so yeah, maybe a little overpriced. But then again, if you can't order a Twist 'Em Up and this is the only reasonably sized apron on the market, then who's to say it's overpriced. Compared to what? I loved my Twist 'Em Up, though. It some issues, like not being able to carrying enough balloons, but otherwise it was great. It got me through my first year of balloon twisting until I switching to a larger case

I use a Crop In Style XXL tote with five Origanizers and Ken Shute's pocket adapter thingy (it's on his website). This setup cost me a lot of money, but it was put together over time, so it wasn't a huge hit all at once.
Prior to this I was using a Twist and Shout apron. My two problems with the twist and shout apron were 1) it didn't store enough balloons, specifically rounds and other odd shapes and 2) it needed to be reloaded frequently, which was a huge hassle. My system now stores way more rounds and the long balloons (160s, 260s, etc.) can be reloaded MUCH quicker with the Origanizer. The Origanizer is far from perfect, but the ease of use of reloading balloons makes it a part of my kit. You can find it here: http://origanizer.com/
