This wallet is really extremely well done. I see so many and different adaptions for it. But I wonder a bit about all the raves concerning the technique of the delayed p…k
It is something I use myself since the mid nineties using various materials like ca…n paper, Riggs’ material or newer mon---ring foil and which I have published many times ever since in German and English giving all necessary credits apart my own additions (my contribution in “Secret Impressions” 2010, in “Regards from Europe” 2011 Mindvention lecture notes or recently in “Personal Regards” 2014 MindSummit lecture notes…). Basically here we have the same technique (to avoid to say my technique) put from my pad into a wallet. The benefit of the wallet is that you have many options for things you can put in it for a later withdrawal and the delayed p…k; not only envelops, but also smaller file cards, further post-it notes, business cards, bank notes/bills a .s.o. (as Ran Pink has done already years ago). If you use envelops I strongly recommend my system of folding as it facilitates and secures extremely well a quick withdrawal. But overall I must confess that I truly believe that this wallet is by far the very best on the market momentary. Jan

I finally got round to reading Jan's Mind Summit 2014 notes last night and began practicing one of his routines with the wallet today. Floored a good friend of mine with it. Great thinking Jan and also top marks to Paralabs for the speedy service and quality of the wallet.
I ordered late Sunday night and received the wallet in the UK on Tuesday now that's fast!

This seems great for drawings, less so for written words though. I can appreciate that this is probably a limitation of the gimmick itself.
Even asking the participant to "clearly print" whatever it is they write down the resulting impression is blurry. If the written letters of the word are too close together it can be difficult to discern the actual word at times. Am I the only one who has an issue with getting clear impressions with 'words'. Does anyone have tips on getting clearer and better defined impressions? Cheers, Lar. |

Foir me words are working very good.
It's all about the setup of the postit note. I will make a small video how I do my setup. But to be honest: sometimes I also get a impression which is not really readable, but I don't care. Most of the time I ask for dates and drawings. Words are in my case names which works brilliant. If somebody have problems with the drawing, please drop me a line and we find a solution. |

If you use the outside of the wallet... with the wallet closed and the you know what directly on the other side, you will get perfect images every time. Is it as good for this as a parap@d? Nope. But I've had no problems at all and I've used it hundreds of times. David

One approach I've used:
Draw a row of four boxes and say they're like Scrabble tiles. Explain that Scrabble champs win not because they know a lot of words with Qs and Zs and other odd letters, but because they know tens of thousands of three and four letter words, so they can always make a play. "So in the boxes print a three- or four-letter word -- maybe an obscure word, if you want to challenge me." Etc. This pretty much insures clear capital letters being printed, and a short word. (Long words often mean small printing, so are to be avoided.) Cheers, Jerry |
