Any updates on a closed group for this where we can discuss and share ideas and tips?
A closed Facebook group would be the easiest (and free) way to achieve this.

It takes 4 to 6 minutes for the brain to die without oxygen. I can fix anything in that amount of time.

I love the routine and have performed it dozens of times. The only part I really don't get a great laugh from is the joke about the "Notebook" Book. Anyone using a different book in place of the "Notebook"? The other book gets a great reaction every time of course.

I just bought this and am looking for a different book. Another problem is that I have bought two copies of notebook and they don't have that word in the first place. In the two copies I have the word on the page is Lon ? must be a different edition of the book.

Hi George, there are 2 versions of the book. The other book can be found cheap online.

I use American Sniper instead of the "sex" book. It has a decent word where needed and is just as topical whithout the possible offending. Of course any book can be used as Cody mentions.

So far I have found 5 different editions of the notebook and 4 don't have the word. Three of them have a blank page, one has a different word. I managed to pick them up cheap but I had to buy 3 copies before I found one that works. I have found that the word in the notebook does get a giggle from the person who has that book because 50 shades leads them down that path.

Can someone share (via pm or downstairs) exactly which version of the books Cody uses and where they obtained it to save us all time?
Thanks. |

I bought mine on Amazon. The first one that appeared on the sales page. It has the correct word. The publisher was Grand Central Publishing. OR... Just find another romantic novel at the grocery store and look at that spot.

I've been on a mad hunt for the specific version of the Notebook as well.
4 versions so far that don't have it. Blank on that page is the most popular, followed by "Allie" one of the characters names, which can't be used either as it can't be linked to the Dictionary. I know any word/book can be used, but The Notebook along side 50 shades, are the most commonly known for that genre. As Mark_Chandaue pointed out, the word used in the Notebook would seem like it plays really well because of the connotations that are setup from 50 shades. Thanks for the info Ron, do you have a year published for that one? I''ll have to make an Amazon account. Once I do, can I see the exact cover of the copy I'm buying, or does it show a generic cover to represent all versions?

I purchased both books from Amazon with no trouble. I have also adapted the routine using a variety of different books without any trouble. This is a beautiful component of the routine as it is easy to modify and make it your own. Genuinely brilliant!

Interesting mysticalsales, that looks completely different to the cover Cody shows on the DVD.
There must be multiple prints that use that word. That gives me a bit more hope.

American Sniper 2012, 2014. I purchased it at Sam's Club.
Incidentally I found a better way to write the predictions. I did not like tocut up oster board and also try to find heavy duty. I found some dry erase pster board. Here is the least expensive I have found. I did glue two back to bak to give the poster board some thickness and also to make it less opaque. This works great for many projects. I did, however, write the certain funny word down in permanant black ink and not dry erase for obvious reasons if you have this effect. I still use the number of sheets required and do not erase as I go with these. Ron Here is a link to the dry erase board. Like I say it has many uses. http://www.amazon.com/Pacon-GoWrite-Post......07PZXVTU |

Just find a book with a suitable word, the one in notebook isn't that funny anyway !
