Can anyone give me advice as to a good quality wrist chopper.
I had an Indian made Disecto wrist chopper which broke after a couple of uses. |

Hello,
I just visited Owens Magic last week. Alan showed me their newest version of their Wrist Chopper and it's a beauty! If your in the market for one I would strongly suggest contacting them. Best regards Paul Gross Owner Hocus Pocus |

Thank you for the information. I have visited Owens Magic website and their wrist chopper looks very impressive. I will make some enquiries with them. I was also looking at the Mikame Arm Guillotine, but cannot find one for sale.

I use two models depending on the age of the audience. The original Disecto carried by Daytona($99)is well made although you have to watch the size of the wrists and make sure that it is placed in SIDEWAYS. For adults I use the two holed guillotine as linked above. Patter is important on both.

I recently bought this one (not the best version of Disecto as it's missing the wrist clamp), but the price was so cheap I thought I'd test to see if it would work in my kids act.
http://images.penguinmagic.com/images/so......full.png I really enjoy using it and have my own presentation idea for it (as well as 1 or 2 lines that I've nicked). I've accepted the fact that I may need to upgrade at some point. I will carefully consider this one from practical-magic.com when the time comes (or feeling flush). http://youtu.be/SdqISzvhrBE https://www.practical-magic.com/images/s......8195.jpg
