I just received mine from hocus pocus, my gimmick works perfectly fine for bill and coin position, but is not moving at all for card position, is it normal or is it a defect?
p/s. I do not have a player to watch the DVD to clear my doubt. |

Follow the two letter code on the device for extracting the disc.

Gimmick is still working strong with normal use daily. I would say that if you do this in a bar. A make sure the spectator has good eyesight. I did it the other night in trying light and the spectator couldn't read it too well, which I thought took away from the effect. AND I couldn't take it and read it for him because it would change how the revelation would read ( those in the know, know)

Yeah, reading it can be tough.
It's a balancing act, you don't want the prop too large for your keychain but big enough to be read easily by most everyone. Personally, I would prefer it to be a tad larger. But then again, I'm primarily a hobbyist and over 50, and my family and friends are mostly in the same age range. So I always need to make sure they have their reading glasses ready to go if necessary. Really kills the effect of they have to fetch their glasses put of their purse or coat and that's in another room. |

Videoman I agree with you. I am 35 and a dedicated Hobbyist that will do shows on request kinda like a freelancer. Any way I also think it could be a tad bigger. However the size of the gimmick is great. The prediction inside could be a tad bigger. I am sure that the way it works prevents it to be, but if they could find a way to make the note paper itself a little wider and taller but still have the black border that would help it out a lot in those situations. Other than that really I think the effect is amazing.

Anyone else notice that most people select the card to go in their pocket?

My outer case has a small crack in it. That's just from day to day pocket management, I do not carry it on my key chain for fear of damaging it, but still enjoying this gimmick very much.

Just to go back to a few people talking about the final word of each sentence sitting "deeper" in the gimmick: It does sit a little deeper but just like if you keep looking at a pimple on your face in the mirror it seems to get bigger, and bigger, and bigger when it actually stays the same. When the spectator reads it they only look at it for maybe 10 seconds. They will not see this. I will see it- (the gap)- because I keep looking at it over and over again, knowing that it is there. If anyone had Peter Eggink's "Ghost Tag", it was a similar situation. I knew the gap was there, and when I keep looking and staring at it, it SEEMS more noticeable (like the pimple) but it is the same as it was. And it was never noticed. I don't think it will ever be an issue. Hey, I may carry Ghost Tag AND Fair Play on the same key chain!

See I LOVED! the Ghost Tag theory but hated the construction of the gimmick. NOW if they took this concept and applied it to Ghost Tag I think I would buy it all over again.

I am way late to this party, but I just got it and here are my thoughts....
Title: Fair Play Creator: Steve Haynes Publisher: Paul Harris Presents MSRP: $ 40 Skill Level: beginner/intermediate DVD Run time: 35:42 Type of effect: New take on Eddy Corbuzier's "FREE WILL" plot. The performer allows the spectator to make three free choices only to find out that the Magician predicted in advance what all three outcomes would be. Manufacturer's Write Up: Hanging from your keychain is a clear photo holder. Locked inside is a scrap of paper with a secret message. Your spectator holds the keychain message in her hands. You then borrow ANY business card, ANY coin and ANY dollar bill. Your Spectator FAIRLY places ANY one of the three objects in HER Pocket. It's a completely free choice. She then FAIRLY gives you ANY one of the other two objects to hold in YOUR hand. She keeps the third FAIRLY CHOSEN object in her hand...NO Forces. Her choices are FREE. She can change her mind as many times as she wants! THE KEY CHAIN PREDICTION SHE'S BEEN HOLDING THE ENTIRE TIME IS THEN READ: IT'S 100% ACCURATE! How accurate is the ad copy? Extremely accurate, this is a seemingly fair effect with not a single shady element. What's in the box? DVD, the "fair play" gimmick and a single sheet of insructions. Key points: The Fair Play Gimmick is Completely Self-Contained and Self-Working. How are the production values: On par with all of Paul Harris' other projects. Easily looks like it could have been a par of the True Astonishment series, I think Bro Gilbert is even in the same location wearing the same clothes! Is it well made: Steve Haynes & Uday Jaduga have made a brand new gimmick I have never seen before in all my 20 years as a magician. The utility is convincing, sturdy and very examinable. Is it well taught: Like all of Paul Harris' products, this is a well put together item. Clear performance and explanations, multiple outs taught including additional thoughts and ideas - PLUS Andrew Gerard offers a really awesome presentation at the end of this. _ My thoughts (what I personally liked/disliked): I liked that this is an easy miracle. I love things that seemingly look and feel impossible, but are incredibly easy to do. The utility literally does all of the work for you. If you can remember a few simple directions, you'll be performing this SAME DAY! The "reset" on this is a little knacky and could take getting used to, but that's just me, maybe I need to play with it a bit more. But the creator's obviously know about it to, since they included extra instructions on how to work around it. Storage? Does it "pack flat?" Attach this to your key ring and take it everywhere you go! How practical is this in the real world? Does it "play big?" This is an amazing piece of impossible mentalism, if you know how to wind up this punch, it'll deliver knock-outs for you. How original is this idea? As stated above, it's a new coat of paint on an older plot, but the gimmick itself - is very original. Overall score: 10/10 + If you want to see my full review with even more of my opinions and ideas you can visit this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njN_pVg7wQE |

I love this and I've been using this as an 'impromptu' effect whenever someone asks to see something. The black area (I have to type this in cryptic)on the back of the device was starting to scratch a little as I have attached it to my keys since day one. I just ended up pasting a small piece of clear scotch tape over it and it has solved that issue.
I highly recommend this product to any worker.
