I'm interested in the Bean Giant, supposedly Houdini's favorite handcuff. The thing is, purchasing one from the period is way out of my budget. I haven't had any luck finding a reproduction. So my question is, does anyone know of a Bean Giant reproduction?

There is a fellow in India or Pakistan or some such place who is proud of his reproductions of all types of cuffs. Check on www.handcuffs.org and you will probably find more info on him.

Thanks for the link Cliffg37. I've been to their page many times and they have a page on the Bean company with information on the Giant, but I have never seen a list of companies who reproduce old cuffs. And, as to the guy in Pakistan, are you thinking of KUB Industries. Their products are brass castings with nickel plating and they look fairly high quality. I'm planning on doing business with them in the future, but unfortunately, they don't make a Bean Giant reproduction, yet at least.

I've been after a Bean Giant repro for a while now with no luck. I've even tried pulling one out of my top hat, but nothing, only rabbits! You'll just have to keep your ear to the ground, incase one pops up for sale somewhere on the net.
