Just ordered Limitless. Even though I just ordered it, I have been using it for a while. Let me explain, I play just the part of the trailer for this effect where Peter is riffling through the deck and I have someone think of a card as he is riffling. Then, the card is revieled on screen by Peter. So, far it has worked everytime. Try it and let me know.

Hi Keith,
What a great idea! I have a routine I've been playing with that does use a video on my phone with limitless. I'll film it for registered owners Regards. Peter |

If someone can post a killer effect with this I'm in but to me so far have not seen one . Forcing a card then vanishing it and appearing unsigned somewhere else can be done with various applications . Don't get me wrong the deck sounds amazing but what can be done effect wise that kicks it out the ball park please ?

That looks like a normal deck. The force is a merely thought of card, never said out loud. What are you missing information wise? It's...a force!! lol Where couldn't you go with a card you have complete control over that is merely being thought of? If you can't think of any killer uses for that yourself then maybe this isn't for you? I'm not quite sure what it is you're expecting to get answer wise when asking for a 'killer idea'? Peter has given many ideas for this, both on the DVD and further on the website for registered owners. Further videos are even being continually added, refining the force technique itself and adding ideas! Killer or not, there is a wealth of ideas and content being shared with this. Are there some gems on there? I think so definately, and not vanishing the card either. Can you do any of the effects with Limitless with any other forcing deck? of course! It's not WHAT you do with it though, it's HOW you do it. It's the way Limitless does the force that was the selling point for me. The 'routines' are a nice bonus suggested by Peter and the team to get you started, but it's really the deck that you're getting. let's say there may not be a killer idea for you just yet that you've come across, who's to say you don't suddenly have one yourself? It is what it is. I don't see how else it can sell itself to you. You either like and want to use it, or not. This is a deck where ideas come from those that use it. You don't just have to make the card vanish! That's just one example. Again it's a force. The possibilities (forgive the next bit) are limitless. How long is a piece of string? |

You are right Manchurian I can do stacks of effects with a forcing deck and have several decks plus forces but this seems some much cleaner from a magicians point of view . However to a layman I can't see how they will see the advantage to any force ( which of course they shouldn't ) so only my own satisfaction with the method will be aroused . Anyway thanks for the advice , loved your fair play ideas 😃

Maybe this is 'magician thinking' but I like to think that a spectator is fully aware and does appreciate the difference between a card that's hand selected and returned to the pack over a card that is merely glimpsed at and thought of among a deck of cards.
One can be explained in their minds by 'magician's hands'. The other...not quite so easy. 'How DID you know that was the card I was thinking of?!' To somewhat answer your 'killer' idea question. The strongest routine I do with the deck is not one from either the DVD or the videos. I use it in conjunction with an already strong mind reading effect that requires a good force at the start. An already strong mind reading effect that starts with a 'hands off' (the selected card) invisible (only visible in their mind) 'thought of card' force makes a trick that's already killer even deadlier! This from my perspective is my favourite forcing deck. It's a deck which for all intense and purposes is a normal deck and can even be used as such, but then has a built in force (of a merely thought of card) for whenever you want to use it. It absolutely shouldn't matter which method you use when it comes to the spectator but I truly believe they understand the difference between a card they handle and so do you, and one that is never handled or moved until it's revealed. Are there other forcing decks that can do that? yes, Peter doesn't shy away from saying at the start that Limitless took inspiration from Force of Thought. However, it's where Limitless differs to the other decks that make the handling of the deck, not the force, but the actual handling of the deck in my opinion much cleaner..and fairer to your spectator too. It is almost like having a normal deck of cards that can sneakily become a force deck for 2 seconds to force a card then change to normal again. Is it one of those 'magician's toys' where only magicians appreciate what Limitless offers over other forces? Maybe lol, but the fact that you CAN handle it like a normal deck and then force a thought of card does equally enter the mind of your spectator as an incredibly fair yet impossible card revelation! |

Will buy as great to have in your Arsenal agreed , you can use a normal deck and still do a force via a peek quite easily though too and still then be limitless to where you go from there 😃

Peek and force are not the same thing though.
You could use a normal deck and riffle peek a card they 'think of' but then your actually limited in where you go from there! Limited because the peeked card was decided on the fly out of 52. Out of the window go all manner of ideas that could have been pre-arranged before hand. With Limitless, not only do they merely think of a card, but you know the card they are going to think of before they think of it! Big difference in possibilities that opens up! |

Hi Tarik,
There are many ways to do many tricks. For some Limitless is their preferred method, to you it isn't (everyone has their own likes/dislikes & style) the fact that some people are really enjoying Limitless does not make them wrong. The fact you see no value in it does not make you wrong (it's your opinion and that makes it right for you) I would never try to change anybody's mind regards my effects/creations. I mainly invent effects for myself. Some I decide to release as I feel other magicians may enjoy performing them and others I keep to myself. Life would be so boring if we all liked the same things. It was exactly the same when I released the Extractor, some could not see the point and others thought it was the best card utility item ever. It's not the guys on this forums job to convince you to buy Limitless. If you feel it could be of use, then its there to buy, if you don't, just don't buy it. Respectfully Peter |
