The Rubble, it has fallen 40% in the last year so I hear and I wonder if there are bargains to be had in Russia and can one buy them on line if there are? The other day I heard someone say the banks are not dealing in Rubble anymore?
And is it Rubble or Ruble?

Looks like Putin's stacks of rubles have become piles of rubble.

The Euro is kinda in the rubble too. I noticed that it's headed towards 1:1 parity with the dollar. I may very well come visit Ireland this summer!

Keep your eye on Greece, and the new government's outreach to Russian economic help. It's going to get very interesting.

Actually the US dollar is strengthening vs all the world's currencies. Probably a sign of further economic recovery for America. Hopefully the recovery will result in greater employment.
The Canadian dollar is in decline for a number of reasons, but the current low price of oil has hit us hard. Nice at the pump, good for some parts of the economy, disaster for the energy-based sectors.

Isn't that what the current Conspiracy Theory is, that a forced drop in oil prices for an extended time will tank all the alternative fuel developement, the financial value having gone 'Poof!"? After that, in a few years, it's all in THEIR hands and they've got us by the etc. I love Conspiracy Theories, they're always so insanely plausible.

If you need fear to enforce your beliefs, then your beliefs are worthless.
