Hoping someone could give me an idea of the origin of this. I bought this from a magic shop about 30 yrs ago. Someone told me it might be a P&L product.

If the bowl has a seam, which I suspect , it was made after 1930.
I can't imagine a light brown cloth on a P&L but it could be from the new P&L. I also can't imagine their cloth being soooo long. Did anyone else see the base? It looks nice. I'd like to see a better photo of just the base. Look at the wood parts. Are they rough around the edges? So many questions, so few photos.

This is a very old effect. It was used as far back as Thurston.

Go back much further than Thurston. It was made in European in the late 1800's.

And, I've only seen ONE performer who knew how to present it! (Jack Baker--SILKINI--. The same technique that Jack used for the bowl of water, should be used for Abbott's TUB OF FLOWERS!!!
