Hi all,
I'm after a ornate looking bottle that looks like it might have been used to hold a magic potion, however I had this idea of it pouring two different coloured fluids. Does such a thing exist? Thanks, |

Will it 'do' gin and vermouth? If so, I want one.

If an empty glass is left, me too I take one on the rocks, as Dick and Jay.
Back to the OP, I would suggest the same as Jay. Use glasses that have non-clear and non-see through-bottom. Another suggestion is too look into a book of Anverdi, who was very famous for his apparatus, specially with liquids. Oliver. |

Actually, the drinking glasses do not have to be opaque, they can be normal clear glass. Sorry, can't reveal on this open forum the rest.

Think a Drink Hoffman (years ago) did an act titled: "ANY DRINK CALLED FOR" He was successful! Others have copied the concept.
I've never seen or heard of a bottle such as you describe. You might fake it with food coloring or ? It depends somewhat on whether the the liquids must be potable or not.--

There is an old method used with the Magic Tea Kettle, that can be used with any ordinary container. It has been mentioned in the above posts. This method has nothing to do the flavors of the liquid, only the color. http://www.abbottmagic.com/Magic-Tea-Ket......oryId=-1 |

A Niffen Tube will do exactly what you want. You can use it to change liquids, silks etc.
Here's what it looks like: http://magiccollectibles.com/other/123-niffen-tube.html |

A dealer in Europe is selling the Niffen Tube, new not a collectable. I found it once, but have lost the address. I am sure a Google search will turn it up.

The Niffen Tube double-ended metal tube used to change liquid, silks or whatever works great and easy to work with.
