I saw this pack yesterday and would not feel at all comfortable looking for the markings. I also think there should at least be some instructions of where to look for the markings instead of having to figure it out for yourself. I know some will say well the markings are easy to find. Well that maybe the case for some, but it's like buying trick with no instructions. There are far better marked decks out there that are much easier to read.

The website seems to be gone. I just get a wordpress side with the same Words all over it. No links to the decks or such.
What gives? (I know it is available from Penguin but living in sweden I would like to see if the postage would be cheaper from the uk.. Maybe try another dealer in the UK) Mikael Johansson Sweden

Im quite fortunate to look similar to one of the kings. So it tends to get a giggle which works well. I love the deck and would recommend it to anyone. I understand peoples issues, but for me they are great

This deck is seriously the easiest to read, they may as well be showing you the actual card! However, to fresh eyes, the mar***s are incredibly hard to find. I'd say the reason you feel uncomfortable using this deck is you have no yet got to the stage where you can find them sufficiently. I purely have your wording 'saw this pack yesterday' to make that assertion, and from that, it sounds like you've had minimal exposure to this deck. The great thing about this mar***g system is unlike traditional mar**d decks, it does not simply rely on knowing where to look, you also have to know how to see them! Not that it takes long to see either! Takes 10 minutes with the deck, if that. Looking at each card, knowing what you're looking for and learning how the marks look for each card so that your brain from then on will know what it's seeing. Does that make the mar****s harder to find than any other ma***d deck out there? definately, you have to learn how to see them too not just where they are, but that's for the better if you ask me! It locks the actual mar****s behind a door only you have the key to open. (or the glasses to see ['They Live' anyone?] easy to read does not necesarily equal better. easy to read can however equal easy to spot! With most other marked decks, as long as you know where to look, they are RIGHT THERE, clear as day! Better? only if you don't let your spectator examine the deck closely. I've had spectators examine the DMC backs extensively, to the point where it was actually funny, and... nothing! Give ANY other marked deck the same level of scrutiny, within a few minutes, they'd have gone 'ha, they're mar**d..i see that little 5 down there' Also, this is the easiest deck to read. Once you can see them, I'd never go back! I have trouble reading most traditional mar***s unless they are in my hands. With these, I can read these while the spectator handles them from across the table. You are correct. These mar****s are hard to find, and without instructions I can imagine how daunting trying to see them would be (thankfully I knew how to read them before I ever got my hands on the deck so personally never had that experience) but don't confuse that with hard to read because once you can see them, it's mind blowing! When they lay a card down on the table face down, even from a good distance away, they may as well be laying it face up! Yet, as you can probably relate, they see absolutely nothing! Personally, I love this deck! |

Over 50, varifocal lenses, bought from Alakazam, no PDF, none required. Shuffled, went through entire deck face down, only 4 cards I wasn't sure of ( 9s and 10s for some reason) all the rest easy. Love 'em

I'm with roblane 100%. Got mine this week from Alakazam. Found the marks in about 10 seconds - having had difficulty with the 10s to start with. But - very easy to read, even at a distance. BUT - if you do these again please make all the Kings standard. If I'd known before I bought - I wouldn't have. The ego trip on the spare Joker - no problem. The ego trip on the Kings was just plain silly. Although the chances of someone picking one is only 4% it just makes the whole pack look childish if they do. And no, I won't be buying a replacement deck when you do issue one without the silly kings.

Brilliant is all I can say... DMC elites are in my eyes the best marked cards for me to use, I can see the markings from across a table with ease.

Does the new edition include a regular pair of kings? (Along with the 2 custom ones) 2. If you have the first edition of the deck, how does the finish compare? 3. Is there any change on the marking system/backs/fronts of the cards? Thanks in advance,

I just received my DMC Elites Deck this morning and I totally agree with Rus. The marking system is brillant and remarkable
I can even see the markings at a short distance without my glasses. Sorry WooverM but the new edition does not include a regular pair of kings. Regarding the finish, even if I don't have the first edition, I can say this one is perfect. The cards spreads smoothly and being a "faro" man, even if it is slightly different that with bicycle cards, faros are easy to do. I hope that help you. I am very happy with this Deck. Thanks to Phil Smith and DMC, and also Alakazam for having received my order so quickly. |

Phill, if you are reading this, I am not alone in wanting two regular kings(even as a supplement) in this amazingly designed deck, while the custom kings still allow for the use of the deck with the best markings I've ever seen, giving the option for a completely regular face on each and every card will probably make this the best non-bycicle looking marked deck I've seen(as the only commercial competition I saw for it is The Code, but for different purposes and possibilities), if this is possible please let us know.

I can honestly say that as a mentalist I don't really use cards in my professional work. Well that was until I got a deck of DMCs. This solves almost all the problems I have ever had with using cards, and the designs are stunning. The whole two-custom kings is literally no issue to me, I actually love the design. If you are looking for a deck, I'd highly recommend this one.

I agree with the posts above. This is the best marked deck that I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot). The markings are both totally hidden and easily seen from several feet away - which should surely be impossible! It's a work of genius but dragged down by the "ego trip" kings. Shame.
