Many of you here on the Café might not be aware of this, but last year, Jay Scott Berry started putting together a few 3-Day Magic Festivals. They were a combination of a Magic Convention and a Magic Festival, with Multi-Star Gala Shows, One Man Shows, Close-Up performances, Free Street Shows, Lectures & Workshops. They have been a smashing success, largely due to the tireless dedication, hard work and laser focus of Jay and his associates. Jay has been a mainstay in the Magic Community, performing around the world for decades. With his vast pool of friends in Magic, he put together the best of the best for these Festivals. I was lucky enough to be included in the First Annual Old Sacramento Magic Festival here in Northern California and got to meet and work alongside great entertainers like Ice McDonald, Daryl, Christopher Hart, Kenn Serrano and the young and very talented Eric Stevens to name a few. It was an amazing 3-Day Weekend event and we performed all over the Delta King Riverboat and downtown Old Sacramento. The other Festivals Jay pulled off in 2014 included icons such as Jeff McBride, Michael Ammar & Losander, alongside many other local and nationally known performers.

In 2015, Jay had put together a dozen Festivals, literally spanning the Globe, from Belfast Ireland to Key West,Florida. Places like Woodstock,N.Y., The Isle of Avalon (Yes, you read that right!), New Orleans & Stockholm Sweden, are on that incredible list. Check out his Festivals Page on Jay's Website:

Unfortunately they just cancelled the Woodstock Festival due to forces out of thier control. I wonder what happened? You'd think that that one would have been successful!!

Yes, sadly I understand the rest of the festivals have indeed been cancelled. I was the man on the ground for The Sedona Magic Festival. JR

By "the rest of the festivals" do you mean the three listed above; Portland, Sacramento, and Sedona? I signed up for the Portland one and haven't heard anything but I get so much junk mail there's a chance I missed a notice if something was sent out.

I understand that all the rest of his festivals have been cancelled......Twin Cities, Woodstock, Portland, Sedona, Sacramento, Key West. Ofcourse, I could always be wrong. JR

The only one that is listed as CANCELLED is the Woodstock, NY festival.

Fesivals in other cities are still listed on his website with no word about being cancelled.
