Just back the Glasgow show tonight and thought it was good but not great.

You can hear Derren Brown discussing the Miracle show and all of his other stage shows in a free 2 hour podcast which has just been released here:

FINALLY I get to watch it !

I really loved the theme and message of it, POWERFUL !

The first half, the Mentalism wasn't really strong in my opinion, had some flaws in it, and definitely not the type Derren Brown usually does. The annoying part was that the TV special had a lot of footage cut out from it like his fantastic Book Test, Twitter Photo Impossible Coincidence, Jewelry Chocolate divination.

The second half was interesting, not the usual hypnosis/seance type. I really liked the HEALING. I expected Derren to "knock out" a lot of people. The annontation in the end was breath taking and good choice of music.

The ending climax seemed somewhat MISSING. The Newspaper prediction was nothing compared to his Infamous, Enigma, Evening Of Wonders. I liked it but I thought the newspapper should've had "MORE" details.

I enjoyed the show I've been waiting for for over a year. But I think there's a huge difference in terms of Infamous compared to it. But then again Derren has probbably done everything there is to hypnosis and didn't want to be repetitive so these were "OTHER" effects that he wanted to perform. I enjoyed it nonetheless and had a huge effect on me personally what he said !

It was also interesting to see some "NEW" methods used in his Mentalism, or should I say with a little bit of "ADDITIONS" or updates to previous methods.

I was really blown away by his paper in balloon. I do perform a somewhat similar effect in my show. It was really intriguing for me and how cleanly it was done ! Also cudos to Derren's team, they did a lot of work too !

Not going to lie, it was very interesting and different, but I didn't like it. And maybe because I'm religious... but maybe not. I usually love Derren Brown's shows, but this wasn't what I was expecting - and I was kind of disappointed. I wanted to see insane mentalism.... and this was incredible but not the kind of magic I enjoy... do Laymen enjoy shows like that? I feel like it crossed some lines and potentially could make people uncomfortable. idk. something was very off about this.

Not religious at all but I felt the same way. It would have been very awkward watching "Miracle" with my church-going friends. The message was too heavy-handed, and the lecture did not justify the magical payoff. I was of course fooled several times, but not blown away by the mentalism as with his earlier theatrical shows.

I still think he is one of the greatest showman. A genius orator
"Why do magicians wait until someone else does it, before taking it up themselves? The moment someone with imagination and vision takes an effect... Everybody jumps up & says.. 'I can use that!'... Develop a little pride along with your magical ability." -Anneman
