Wonderful. I loved your jokes and all the kicker endings. Quarters, washers, beautiful!

Out of curiosity, what's the dollar-sized copper coin you're using with the Ikes?

Thanks Tons. I've since cut about 5 minutes out and tried to make everything more direct and less wordy..

This week: doing some cool coin magic for some cool kids.
I love this routine so much. Have seen threads about it on here, but it's rarely done. I cleaned up the ending, the rest is Bannon- one of his few coin routines.

Enjoy!

It's a fake British Crown. You can find 'em on Ebay..

A nice routine!

Two comments:
I like the story of the patter, but I think it needs to be tightened up, it was a bit awkward at times.
There was a strange view of the hidden coin at 0:14 - possibly because of the angle of the camera.

Anything in particular to search for on ebay? I've tried fake and imitation, but don't seem to be getting the right ones.

Thanks, Tons. I don't see a strange view of a hidden coin at :14 or anywhere else- but do agree I was awkward; not much of a kids performer.. thanks again for watching and for the feedback!

I've attached a screenshot.
Maybe I'm mistaken, but it looked like you put the coin in your palm, and here it's awkwardly/strangely held in heel clip.

I know it's possible to hold a coin like this, but I feel like most spectators don't, so flashing it seems akin to planting the seed of an idea of a gaffed coin. (Which, again, doesn't occur to most people.)

It's interesting you see it as that. I showed them a silver dollar and then let it rest on my fingers in a casual display. That's all you're seeing there. No heel clip, no concealment, no flashing etc. Overall it's far from a perfect execution of the routine and I do like feedback, but the thing you're perceiving just isn't there.. Here's the same routine in a different vid. The moment you're seeing is at :27 in this vid. https://youtu.be/gg5vFmkg07E

I gotta stop replying to mssgs when I first wake up. Sorry if that sounded all defensive. I think what you were seeing was a Kapps subtlety from a very specific angle and it looked like I was holding the coin between the heel of my palm and fingers.. anyway whatevs. I agree overall the whole thing is a bit awkward. Was fun but I don't normally do much kids magic.

Next week I'll be posting coins thru table in a restaurant and the week after: bedside magic for adult film legend Dana Dearmond as she recovers from breast augmentation surgery. So stay tuned and please subscribe if you haven't.

No apology necessary; I didn't think you sounded defensive.
You're right that the other video looks much more fluid. I think it's because the coin just briefly passes through the position, rather than spending time in it for a while because you pause to rest your hands on the table and talk.

I might also be more sensitive to it at the moment, since I saw someone recently do "the last time I did a trick with two coins, I got this messed up half-copper half-silver coin, let me see if I can split them back to normal" routine, which feels like it needlessly reveals a C/S coin.

And again, to reiterate: I do like the routine and story (and all of your work, in fact), I just think it has the potential to be even stronger if you tighten it up. I'm always excited to see new stuff from your channel. Smile

Thanks!
The Assembly is just standard shadow coins but the backfire is an unpublished Dean Dill orphan that I adopted some 20 years ago and raised like my own. Am guessing others have published assembly backfires since then.
