I've learned 3 Fly III by Daryl pretty smoothly. I use Ike dollars which I hand softend myself using a wetstone.
It's a great routine by I don't always have a top pocket to do the last sequence. I've tried doing it with a jeans pocket, but it looks a bit dodgy that way! Any suggestions on other good 3 Flys, that don't require a top pocket? I also have a machine Johnson Ike expanded shell, I that helps with suggestions. |

How About Just Putting the last one in your Pocket And having it Jump back to your Hand ? I have used it and it works great!

The TUC allows for many 3Fly approaches including some in which the hands never touch each other at all.
Not to say other gaffs won't as well, but none as easy in my experience, and, of course, there are those methods using no gaff at all. In fairness, we are all referring to "Coins Across" methods using 3 coins -- and perhaps 3Fly should be reserved for a particular presentation style. I prefer to use three coins handed to me by a spectator from a collection of various coins, and end by giving them back to be returned to the pile/basket -- then ask for a different coin and continue. As a kid in Nevada I could ask to borrow three silver dollars and get them from anyone (pre 1960) -- but not today. Now I pretend at the same thing.

Thanks so far guys.
Mr Neighbors, thanks for the suggestion. But this is what I'm trying to kinda avoid. Going to the pocket in front of them. In Daryl's with the top pocket it's fine, it looks good. But the jeans pocket just doesn't 'fly' with me. Sanchez fly looks quite good. Very similar basic moves to 3 fly III, so shouldn't be hard to learn. Also similar moves to I think Chris Kenners? I friend of mine has his book, might borrow it, also download Sanchez fly. Funsway, I have been thinking of of getting a TUC. But for now I just want pure sleights, or using my existing shell. |

O.K so I'm downloading Sanchez Fly right now, under $10 can't really go wrong as a starter routine using a shell. I think a friend has the Gary Kurtz book will borrow that also.
I'll let you know what I think of Sanchez Fly, maybe post a video when Ive run through it a few times. |

OK Sanchez fly is a neat little routine. The last move is a little knacky, but I kinda have it down. I had to change it a bit, as the way he taught just wasnt working. Not sure if it's to do with the make of [? I see he was using 'artifact' [ and it didn't have great coverage, I'm using Johnson and they have 80-90% coverage.
What I've found if I give a little backwards+upwards jerk as I do it it works great. I like the quickness and directness of this routine. Almost to quick, I now want to add a 3 coin appearence at the start! I looked at 'misbehavin' by harbottle but it's a 4 coin routine and using halfs. Not sure I could combine them? Or the moves would work using full dollars. |

Hi guys. My own Secret Servante is perfect to produce, vanish and ditch single and multiple coins. Just drop your hand by your side naturally and it comes into play. Sorry about the plug, but its ideal for coin workers! Also useful for switching in and out gaffs...

Lots of good suggestions here. Love the Gadabout Coins suggestion (You might check out Ron Bauer's version - pretty nice!), and Sanchez Fly is a neat Fly with an X[
Now, I know that this is the "Trick Coin Trickery" forum but if you want to not have to need a gaff at all (It could happen), you might want to try something like this easy enough…I'm just sayin'. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UdMhOo6Ytw Hope that "helps" some.

Well hack -- I do have a new lead in to a three fly like Mb's natural.
From a pile of coins on the table I selct one half dolar and openly drop it into my left hand. Another is selected and dropped onto the first in the left hand. I now start to select a third, but announce I have changed my mind and will use silver dollars. I open my left hand and it is empty! Both hands are completely empty. Now I repeat the moves with three half dollars. All eyes ar eon the drops into the left hand expecting another vanish. With completely focused attention and an extra dollar palmed in the right hand you are ready to begin. It turns out that because the first vanishes are treated in a "ho-hum" manner the expectations of magic about to occur is greatly enhanced. It certainly established that you are a magician and gets the cell phones turned off.
