Dammit, it's another flipping' deck to carry around but this looks so good!
http://sankey-magic.myshopify.com/produc......ing-soon The conditions he states are pretty impressive: no forcing, no deck switch. Dunno how he achieves that, but who cares? I've done In A Flash for yonks and it's great. This might be even better? |

Sankey has put out a lot of crap lately, but this looks very promising.

The chosen card in the demo is obviously on top of the pack, a pack of pre-burnt cards, so I'd be interested in how this totally free choice no deck switch piece works.
Not that I don't trust Jay of course! |

Now you just might have me back Mr Sankey. This looks great. Just in time for the 4th. You would have to stock up on sparklers for sure. but I very rarely pre order. I will wait for reviews but it does look good.

How can anyone say this looks good when they've not seen the effect ?
Listen very carefully to Sankeys spiel and ask yourself whether this effect is going to be on tv or whether it might not just have been something he used in warm up. And how many times have we heard " this is my most impactful trick" chatter. Oh the humanity !!! |

So you're saying Gazzo's cups and balls had a chance to fool them? how about Paul Daniels and his son's trick? You think that had a chance?
When you say anything would fool Penn and Teller what are your reasons for thinking that? Love em or hate em they are both extremely well read magicians. James Quote:

I'm not fooled by this but am definitely interested in how this will play for the summer BBQs. Looking forward to hearing more about it and getting some actual reviews. |

Good luck firing up a bunch of sparklers in a US venue. Nice for outdoors though

IT looks like the top card is the one pulled out. I think In A Flash is much better IMHO.

I wish the demo showed the routining. As I recall, sparklers don't light up instantly; need to be held in the flame 10-15 seconds. Who lights it, the spectator? If the perfomer does, where's the deck during this procedure? I dunno- just seems cumbersome.
And, if it is just the top card sliding off the deck- ugh. Terrible. Not too keen on the alleged sublety of having the card signed halfway off the deck(to presumably suggest that the cards underneath are normal?). |

It looked like the card came out of the middle of the pack to me. The video doesn't show the card selection process, so I can't say for sure, but I imagine it probably works very similar to In a Flash. Taking out your sparkler & lighter would provide more than enough cover to do any sort of dirty work.
