If the standard of living goes down in the USA so will the number of people wanting to live there. 4 x the wages is a good incentive.

They do it because it is bad education and good enough for the common.

I don't have a problem with McDonalds choosing to pay their unskilled labor $15/hour, if that is what they wish to do. However, I don't think it should redefine the minimum wage standard.
$15/hour could work for part time workers as an offset to buying their own insurance, but I doubt that was the mindset of the movement. An across the board increase to $15 would (IMO) cause skilled job salaries to jump drastically. I would like to think that I'm at least twice as skilled as the fry guy. The argument about a living wage for a family of 4 doesn't fly with me either. Life is all about choices and living with the consequences. There are no Community Cards in real life.

I forgot to add the word 'Chest' after Community, but I think it was implied anyway.

I came across this hiring posted on my last trip to the Philippines.
Interesting to see the different standards other countries require.

Hmmmm...so it surprises you that someone would opine that the wage ratio between an educated, skilled professional and a fry cook should be at least 2-1?
Wow.
