Hi everyone, those of you who loved Ouija will be interested in my next release.
False Messiah. Expected to Ship on or before the 12th September. False Messiah is my first limited edition hard bound book containing some of my greatest work to date. Only 200 copies of this book will ever be printed. Effects include: 1. Prop less Name guess – You guess the name the spectator is thinking of completely prop less – no billets, centre tears or anything written down. They give you a few characteristic traits of the person they are thinking of and you reveal the name. [This and other effects in the book use an update on the Ouija “re-frame” which takes this approach to an entirely new level. There is no longer any need for your spectator to name multiple letters]. 2. Spectator name guess – The new “re-frame” allows your spectator to now guess your thoughts. This is a reversal of the previous name guess effect. The way this and other spectator as mind reader effects in this book are structured is what makes this work truly break-through. 3. Star sign reveal – one of the most direct and simplified star sign divinations available – no anagrams. 4. Reverse star sign – Spectator uses their intuition to read you and guess your star sign. 5. Spectator pin guess – They guess your pin number. 6. Card force – Completely verbal method for forcing a playing card mentally. Including a version of TOD without the need for a deck of cards. 7. Frame up frame – a way to frame a stooge situation theatrically. Essays from Peter Turner and Fraser. Edited and formatted professionally by Preston Heller. Each copy will be numbered and sent recorded delivery (with tacking number) in protective packaging. Check my website for more details. Fraser |

I thought you said you would never sell to the general community again and that you would only share with your inner circle?
The thread of the Billetless Peek has been removed where you stated that. |

Hey guys,
Those of you that are part of the Ouija group most likely know me and those who tune into my Mystery Arts Inc series on Youtube may also be familiar. This work is prop less work that actually relies on an old principle in mentalism combined with a new one then taken to the moon. The effects discussed in here are not pipe dreams, they are real effects that can be altered, tweaked and of course incorporated into your existing work to play on their own or accent it. Funny story, the other day I was performing the effect I talk about in my essay in here while driving and chatting with a friend in the side seat. It was all conversational (in this setting anyways) then suddenly when I revealed they were correct in the end, they were silent in thought for about five minutes before he finally spoke up again talking about how shocked he was he was able to get it! Moral of the story...if a dolt like me can perform it on a friend while driving and really affect my friend in that manner then anyone can. XX, -Jakob |

Hi Fraser.
Is this a sure-fire method, and will it work in any language? |
|||||||||
Fraser Parker Loyal user United Kingdom 280 Posts |
Voh200. It is 90% due to the fact it is prop-less. Yes, it can work in most languages as long as they use a phonetic alphabet.

I hate to stoop to superlatives but nothing less comes to mind. This book (and yes I am the editor) will change the way you think about and do mentalism. Eye-opener, ground breaking, game changer, are tired cliches, but they really do apply. This is a limited edition and when they are gone, they are gone. Only 200 being printed. This is not a kitchen sink full of effects. It is a well thought out treatise on combining method and effect in ways that cannot be backtracked and cannot be seen. False Messiah teaches you how to use words to create powerful, seamless and transparent mentalism that I guarantee will blow people's minds. Enough said.

Just for the record these methods have nothing in common with Train Tracking other than the fact you are able to divine specific letters and subsequently guess the name/ word your spectator is thinking.

Hey guys,
So where do I start? This is going to be a long one. I consider Fraser to be a good friend, and we have Skyped many times and shared ideas back and forth, but this review by no means is biased, since I paid for my copy of the book just like everyone else. First off, I will state that knowing Fraser since his True Mysteries was first released, he has really grown as a performer, and it shows in his work. Another thing is that, honestly, the only thing I ever perform nowadays from Fraser is Memoria, and it gets great reactions, I frame it a bit differently, and get solid reactions from it. When Ross and Fraser introduced Ouija, I purchased a copy, and I will be honest, and though, I liked it, I felt it was lacking a certain element of disguise. I practiced with it and showed it to my wife and some friends, but then I scrapped it, since I kept going back to what was Frasers best release Memoria, well to me at least. Now comes, this limited edition book called " False Messiah" I was a bit skeptical in ordering to be quite frank, because though Fraser is very creative, what turned me off at the beginning was the Ouija Re-Frame as he calls it, and since I didn't get much use out of Ouija when it was introduced, I felt that maybe the same thing would happen with this. What intrigued me the most was a line that Fraser used in the ad copy that states "The new “re-frame” allows your spectator to now guess your thoughts. This is a reversal of the previous name guess effect. The way this and other spectator as mind reader effects in this book are structured is what makes this work truly break-through" Hmmmmmmm interesting....a break-through in the world of mentalism, plus spectator as a mind reader, which I absolutely love those types of effects. I thought long and hard about purchasing, and went with my instincts to purchase this, and boy were my instincts correct. This is Fraser Parker's greatest work to date, and the whole 182 page book is a thing of absolute beauty. So I will start with a review of its contents and share some thoughts along the way. Bear in mind, I have not performed anything from here yet, but have read the book, cover to cover twice already, to fully grasp and understand everything. There is a Foreward from Ross Tayler explaining how he met Fraser, and how they both began developing ideas back and forth and then the original version of Ouija was born. (Note: A few months after Ouija was released, I was on a Skype session with Fraser, and he showed me an update on Ouija, which I will call the 1st update, and it was better in line with what I wanted and was looking for, and I did try out this update and it was all fine, but something in me said there was still something more that could be done with this concept) The Introduction is Fraser talking about the book and the Re-Frame which is a different altogether feel and aspect than the original Ouija release, so in my mind, this is Frasers 2nd update to the Ouija premise. Then we are treated to an Essay from Kenton Knepper which was a delight to read dealing with WORDS. Effects: 1) My Pin = basically a spectator guesses your pin number (Note: the major outlining method for 90% of the effects presented in this book rely on this ground-breaking new re-frame that Fraser has developed that is clean, and will have your spectator using their intuition to guess your pin) 2) O by Ross Tayler = I don't want to say too much, but there is another release similar to this, that Fraser and Ross asked for permission for it to be including on here, and permission was granted, and uses playing cards. (Brilliant, if you ask me) 3) TOD O by Ross Tayler = with no deck of cards, you can do the TOD only in the minds of the spectators 4) Name Guess = You guess the name that a spectator has in mind with nothing written down. Uses the same outlining method I explained above dealing with the re-frame, and like Fraser said, nothing like Train Tracking. 5) Star Sign Guess = no more anagrams, straight to the point star sign reveal using the same outlining method. 6) Reverse Name Guess = now a person can use their intuition to guess a name you have in mind. 7) Star Sign Reverse = have a spectator tell you your star sign 8) Bold Number Guess = though this is a good piece in the book, I don't believe I woudl ever use this, doesn't fit my style. 9) Bonus: Frame Ups, Frame = a way to frame a stooge theatrically, something that I will not use. 10)Half Life Equation is brillant and something you can do right away after reading the book, you can tell someone the name of their first kiss, or movie, or anything really(brilliant, which uses different layers of deception), you can also do a phone unlock as well. At the end we are treated to an Essay with Peter Turner as he explains the difference between using props or not, and he gives an example using an electronic prop most mentalists have, and it is great framing. Then we get to the conclusion of the book with Fraser saying a few words. The book is 182 pages. I like the way Fraser provides scripts and examples to guide you along to learn the method/material. I will at one point in performance use everything from the book with the exception of the Bold Number Guess and the Frame Ups section, everything else is golden. You can do this close-up, parlour, and even on stage. I am glad that this is limited to 200 people, and I am glad and honored that I was able to read this, and give my honest thoughts on this wonderful book that will sit on my shelf alongside my other books that I own. I can see that Fraser gets a lot of inspiration from Peter Turner, Michael Murray, and in one effect Ted Karmilovich, and more. This work reminded me a lot of Peter Turner, just like when Bigger Fish 2 and When in Rome was released, great books both of them, and this can stand on its own from those books, or compliment them as well. If you are a fan of Peter's thinking, Michael Murray, I recommend this work, since what Fraser has essentially done is take principles and turned them upside down on their head, and framed it so beautifully that you will just smile after reading everything through and know that what you just read are not pipe dreams, it is actually something that you can go out and do, and mix into your exisiting repertoire, propless. I paid 130 GBP's, which in USD is about $205 USD. Well worth the money paid, and more, since this work will elevate the way you think about mentalism, magic, and as Preston said: "This is not a kitchen sink full of effects. It is a well thought out treatise on combining method and effect in ways that cannot be backtracked and cannot be seen. False Messiah teaches you how to use words to create powerful, seamless and transparent mentalism that I guarantee will blow people's minds. Enough said." Alex Alejandro

Nice review BMWguy! Very informative, this only makes my more exciting for False Messiah. It really sounds like it expands on Ouija's principles- which is like turning silver into gold!
Fraser- I'm also quite excited to read Peter Turner's essay as well as Ross and Kenton's additions.
*I knew you were going to read this

"When Ross and Fraser introduced Ouija, I purchased a copy, and I will be honest, and though, I liked it, I felt it was lacking a certain element of disguise."
This is pretty much exactly how I feel and have felt about much of the prop-less effect released. This is what I believe many of the prop-less naysayers have conveyed. I've purchased a number of effects within the "prop-less genre" if you will, and I honestly haven't been impressed by many. In my searches, I've found myself agreeing more with the sentiments of many here regarding either too procedural or process heavy feel of the effects. While I still very much like the idea of prop-less effects, I haven't found many which are worthwhile or one in which can go into an actual show vs. the casual performance. Fraser or others, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

It's great seeing this finally going out and all I can say is...I told you so guys.
What is False Messiah really? It's a real life magic spell book...think about it. You say some words and then amazing things happen. It's kind of mystical and etherial, but it's true and anyone who knows Fraser and Ross know this is just their...dare I say..."swag". Watching Fraser grow, develop and create during our time as friends has been amazing. To think at one point I almost didn't buy True Mysteries, what a dreadful mistake that would have been! Hope everyone is enjoying being real wizards for a change, I know I am. XX, -Jakob |
