I would suggest that if it can be folded and retain its folded shape then it should be able to be adapted for use. If it is a plastic coated bill of some sort that cannot be tightly folded, creased, and made flexible along the folded line then it may pose challenges, however I have used a workaround on other items that should work well on just about anything so if you run into any issues please send me an IM and I will share some ideas with you. If you have purchased it, there is a section in the instructional video regarding how to fold and prep the items for use. If your bill can be prepared in this way you should have no problems. Let me know if you need help and I will be glad to assist you. Dan

Those of you who know me know that I like to be very responsive and I am happy to answer any of your questions in this thread on via IMbut I would ask for your patience through Tuesday if I don't respond immediately. On top of working diligently on a large reorder I have several shows over the long holiday weekend so answer time may take a little longer than usual.
Thank you all so much for your interest and purchases and I will answer any questions as quickly as I can Dan

Hi Michael, and thank you so much. I know you'll love it and as you know I am always available should you have any questions.
The routine is a variation of the anniversary waltz except it has some visible changes and the card ends up signed on the face and back apparently inside the box that has been in the spectator's pocket the entire time. I am currently working on a version of the effect specifically for use with the Miracle Prediction Chest or Eco-Box where a card is shown blank and openly placed in the box. Two spectators each sign different cards, one on the face and the other on the back. Which are placed in Mylar sleeves. After they come in contact with the box the spectators remove their cards from the sleeves to find that their respective signatures along with the entire printed face and back have vanished and the white card is now a printed card complete with their signatures. It has some great byplay moments and gets killer responses. I am hoping to release the routine complete with additional gimmicks as an addendum to the Eco-Box and Miracle prediction chests. It will be priced as low as possible. I really think that the Eco-box is capablw of so much more than just a ending to an ambitious routine. Again thanks so much for your support and for helping us provide some great magic to the community we are so proud to be a part of. Dan

In a previous post, someone asked about how the Eco-box compared with another type of switching box that has a clear see-thu cover. Obviously, there's a significant presentational difference between using a (see-thru) box, which the audience can see in advance what's inside, and an opaque box, which the audience doesn't know what's inside until the climax.
I suppose you could replace the opaque cover of the Eco-box with a clear cover if you wanted to use a different presentation/effect. Also, Dan gave an excellent response to my question about the apparently awkward "dump" seen in the initial video. The later videos are much better and, whichever dump is used, I think it's best to just lay the box down after the switch so that it can be seen obviously empty. I understand that an S could pick the box up and give it a cursory examination without finding anything suspicious. Again, this looks like a total winner for several reasons: reliability, portability (can carry in the pocket), ease of changing the object to be switched, the 3-D aspect, the plain appearance of the box, its price and its deceptiveness. I'm going to see if it can accommodate the Jamy Ian Swiss subtlety. If it can, I would say that it's as close to perfect as can be. Remember: a clear (or open) lid can make it function like a Clarity Box. CM

Maybe down the road Dannicus will be able to offer both lids, clear and opaque. I think interchangeable lids is a great idea.

You know what guys? That's a great idea and I will look into it. To keep iur packaging costs as low as possible and keep the Eco-Box retail pricing as low as we could I actually designed and built our own thermoforming machine to make the clamshell packaging ourselves. I can't see any reason at all why I couldn't design a form that would allow me to vacuum form a clear lid for the Eco-Box as well.
If people would like that option I will most certainly look into it! BRILLIANT SUGGESTION. If the Eco-Box continues to do well I will commit to trying to make that happen either as a very lost cost stand alone item for those who already own the box or an additional value added additoin to future releases or both. After we ship the large refill order I'm a couple of days I will certainly start giving it a go. You guys are awesome Dan

The small cardboard Eco-Box looks simple and deceptive. Easy to carry and handle. Looks small but will play big. Seems to have a lot of potential - A winner.

Of course, you could just lay the box down without a lid, exposing the folded object inside from the beginning, and proceed from there.
You might also consider making a "sleeve" for the box that looks like the sleeve to a box of matches. Can a few matches fit on top of the folded gimmick for a Swiss-type subtlety or will this muck up the workings? CM

Sorry for the delay guys, the first order of these Sold out in two days and my sons and I are working 18 hour days to get the reorder processed by Friday. We don't want anyone to to experience undue delays in receiving their box. I will get back to this thread later this evening. There are some great suggestions here I'd like to explore with all at you.

I would say that having the transparent lid makes what is currently a nice simple box - into something else that isn't all that common a looking object...
if you trim the plastic front of the packaging down, you can experiment/test it out as a makeshift lid...

On Sep 9, 2015, Dominic Reyes wrote: I agree that that is a wonderful use of the box. However, the box has other uses as well, and some of those uses are enhanced by allowing the Audience to see what's inside the box from the beginning. For example, use the Eco-box with a folded index card in my routine, "Confab Four" (from Elliott Bresler's masterwork, Switchcraft). Another idea: Have a small flat object (say, a folded bill) that covers (thus hides) the folded dummy (say, a folded playing card) in the box. Remove the bill and cover the box without revealing the folded dummy card still inside. When the S's signed card vanishes during the course of a routine, it will be very surprising to the Audience just to see something folded inside the box. The fact that it turns out to be the S's signed playing card will be astounding! CM
