So I have been playing with a move I like to call "Flip Split". Has this idea ever been published? Give your coin with a s...l a one rotation flip and this happens

Splitting a s**** in front of the spectator is a rather bold move in my opinion. Jay Sankey does it in Cartesian Coins quite explicitly- I don't know how comfortable I would be with that kind of move. This Flip Split you thought up is quite clever, however. The smaller movement is covered by a toss and a spin and it multiplies! It would make a nice touch for a coin multiplication like Cartesian Coins. My only concern would be having the shell fall upside down or out of your hand completely, but I'm sure with sufficient practice this move could be transitioned into and out of quite naturally. I'm thinking of a sponge ball like multiplication effect where you re-nest the s**** while pretending to take one of the coins from your hand, and repeat ad infinitum. Nice work on this- looks truly magical

I find that it works best with a half dollar shell. Flip it lightly, what causes the separation is the coin hitting the palm of your hand.

Given a bar setting this can be a sobriety test.
"do you see one coin or two?" "Two? -- no there is only one!" either way -- "no more for you" or "better slow down."

I won't lie, you make it look beautiful. In my hands, too risky. But, of course, now I'll need to try it out.
Thanks for sharing. Respectfully, Jim

With a little practice you can get it about 95% of the time. Only weakness to the split it the sound so I would not do it more than once or twice unless you are in a noisy bar or on the street.

I wouldn't be too concerned about noise (unless you have a bad sounding shell) because you do end with two coins in your hand, and it would be reasonable for them to clink. I also checked out your other videos on your channel, and I gotta say you have the most aesthetically beautiful levitations. Real art is magic and real magic is art.
