Henning Nelms observed that if you "magically" produce a ham sandwich from an empty pocket, you have a curiosity. But if somebody you’re with says they're hungry and you produce a ham sandwich, you've performed a miracle.
This made me think of a question: What are some "ham sandwich" moments in life that one could anticipate and be prepared for? I don't carry a ham sandwich around with me (at least not since the Doberman incident), but can you think of ways that one might be ready to perform a similar miracle?
It's still magic even if you know how it's done.
