I have some gaffed cards, but not (enough of) the ones I need. I want a bunch of aces with indifferent backs (particularly the AH, AD, and AC). You might know which trick I'm looking at this point! But in any case, can anyone provide advice as to where to best obtain these (at a hopefully reasonable price?)

Thanks for the tip. It looks like Marty is making those cards by slicing cards up and such, while I'd prefer to have ordinarily printed ones. I've now obtained five sets of the printed cards for $10. But in the future, I will definitely try Marty out. At at mere $0.50 more, it's certainly worth a try, and I'm sure he does a quality job.

Almost every random Bike Gaff Deck I ever purchased had a set in it. If you are not sure, check with the site you are buying it from to verify. That way for the same $XX.xx you get several other useful gaffs too.

I did send a message to a magic shop I like (asking about which cards were included in their gaffed deck) but didn't get a response. If I recall correctly, their gaffed deck (which may or may not have had what I wanted) was $24.95. So I was happy with the five sets of just what I needed for $10. (I also have plenty of other random gaffed cards lying around.) You can really get some steals on ebay, even if this one doesn't count as the world's best deal. I regularly obtain practice decks off ebay, for example, at around $0.50/deck. Some practice is absolutely brutal on the cards, and you can save a fair penny in this way. |
