Hi Jorge,
How important is it for a mentalist to have a signature effect (a specially curated effect that only you can perform since it is really personal to you)? Do you have some suggestions/guidelines for beginners who want to select good materials for their repertoire? Best, SH

I think stage is a sacred place. It s a place for the artist to show the way he sees the world. To have a signature effect it s difficult but, if you for really want to share something that is coming from you and it s about yourself you will have a personal and signature effect. I try to see mentalism as a great set of tools so as and advice I always try to think what do I want people feel or what the effect should be about and then I look for the routine that an achieve that.
As I ve said in the lecture at Mindvention, my book test comes from the idea of giving the book as a gift to the spectator and that leaded the way for me to find de the right methods. |
