The supplied gimmicked dollar notes are very difficult to spread apart during the wallet vanish phase. It's as if they've been treated with R&S. I'm going to have to use real UK 20's or I'm never going to be able to perform it properly.

Frankly, I don't like the roll over or grab change which requires both hands to accomplish as per instructions. I prefer the usual flip change like in Extreme Burn. In this manner, you just require one hand to do.

If you don't do e burn regularly or know it that well you will probably love this version but if you are a regular user of e burn at every gig you wouldn't want to be changing to this trust me 😊 |

You shouldn't compare this to extreme burn, it's not at all the same effect... It's difficult to understand that unless you've performed Street Thief and see the reactions and what people say about it. Quote:

Using the roll over "change" looks weird but it's part of them seeing "something happen" that's plausible enough to have been you stealing out the wallet from the bills and putting it back in their pocket. If you do a vanish of the wallet that's TOO visual, it'll ruin the effect. Besides, you do the roll over change as you quickly bump into the spectator and since nobody knows exactly when you're about to do it, they don't catch any of what's actually happening with the bills, they just notice the wallet is gone. |

There is a onehanded change on the extreme burn DVD. I think its called the flip change but could be wrong on the name.

I see, that's definitely NOT something you'd want to use with Street Thief. It's also not designed to use that change, there is no weight to the gimmick and it wouldn't want to stay closed after the change because of the leather wallet gimmick.

- Paul Harris Presents Street Thief by A.G.
Review + live performance + free giveaway contest For the watchers- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBD6RswCX1Y&feature=youtu.be (contest rules on youtube) For the readers: What you receive- A very nicely printed black box with 1 regular wallet and 1 gimmicked wallet, fake million dollar bills, a customer care card and an Instant download. The download is produced very well and the customer care card provides direct contact information should there be a problem when you receive your trick. I would love to see more companies do this. Then the problems could be solved directly by the production company and no one would need to complain to other companies or on message boards. Also possibly relieving the magic shops of being stuck with returns that they cannot return. On the video you get to find out who A.G. is but I will save the surprise for those who buy it. The download is about 40 minutes long and features Bro Gilbert. He teaches you everything you need to know and how to get up and running in less than 5 minutes. As long as you have a glue stick ready. There are live performances. Also I'm starting to not mind not having a dvd anymore. I know it is inconvenient for some but personally I like being able to access the instructions online from anywhere at anytime. Especially on my cell phone for those times where you may need a refresher on the go. The gimmick wallet and the normal wallet are made from the same faux leather look exactly alike, except for a minor size difference that is covered in the handling and also is needed to make the effect work. For those not too keen on the grip, there are different ways to hold and display the wallet. In my performance you will see where I open the wallet to display it and hand out a full sized business card. I customized mine and added my own I.D. card and credit cards. You will need extra materials to do this. I also added normal U.S. dollar bills. For those of you worried about sizing, I would say, if you have a bigger bill, purchase the smaller size because the bills can be modified while the wallet cannot really be altered to a different size. ALSO, the international presentation does take care of this problem quite well. It revolved around the wallet being a throw down or throw away wallet and offers perfect justification as to why the bills are fake millions. There are several handling taught on the video, The basic handling, the flash handling and the homing pigeon presentation where the wallet jumps back to the bills. The homing pigeon is hilarious when Bro does it, they recommend not using that presentation but I think it is too funny to pass up. The reset for everything is near instant. After having road tested this, I believe the basic handling and the flash handling just don't look that magical. They look very "movey". This is not a problem though because there are multiple ways to do the vanish that you can come up with on your own. I know it is difficult to see but in the end of my video I do a "wave vanish" where you wave your hand over the wallet and it changes. This is my preferred method. I like to do it near the spectators pocket as well so it seems like you somehow actually did pickpocket/putpocket them. Also you are going to want to choose a spectator that does not have tight pockets and spectator management is required to keep the spectator from prematurely finding out the secret. Again should not be a problem for the intermediate performer. All of the methods are super simple to do and take no time to learn. I mention in the video how in the street performance, one of the guys worked it out. I spoke with him afterwards about what made his brain think in that direction and he told me. So next performance I will be correcting these subtle issues. That being said, I believe that the time spent pickpocketing the wallet from the pocket and the act of showing the bills fairly at the end are 2 crucial points to making this effect convincing. I believe that some spectators will reverse engineer the effect BUT I also believe that coming off with proper confidence as a pickpocket with eliminate this issue. Overall this is a good effect and it is very well made. I like how it is similar to extreme burn but the effect is different. The heat tends to be more on the wallet than the cash. Also I always wanted to make EB with 100's and having a $500 gimmick laying around can be expensive. I would always end up spending it lol. So I believe this is a similar but different alternative. Credits are all on the download. I am happy with this. I hope I have been able to provide some information to help you make an informed decision. Thanks for reading and watching. Have a blessed evening. Sincerely, Taylor Pelican Trapper Lewis |
