New York Times praises Québec today :

"Quebec City has long drawn admirers to its historic district — the famed ramparts, quaint cobblestone lanes and handsome stone houses. Get swept up in this squint-and-you’re-in-Europe charm, however, and you risk missing out on the Canadian city’s most compelling attractions. Over the last few years, a gradual revival has spread from one outlying neighborhood to the next, ushering in a wave of new boutiques, bars, bistros and more. But can hip and historic coexist? Quebec’s capital, now alive with cultural and culinary enticements for all demographics, says, mais oui!"

http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/......ionfront

And the New York Daily News also :

"Quebec may be among the most beautiful cities in the Western Hemisphere — but you try enjoying its vistas, food, culture, currency-aided discounts, and French-speaking populace when it’s 5 degrees and the wind is whipping around at 20 miles per hour."

"For starters, Quebec has a lush and gorgeous history. Still ringed by a full set of fortified walls atop a high bluff overlooking the St. Lawrence River, the inner old town feels like a mini-Paris, without the attitude. Better still, the entire place is walkable — a jaunt from the Parliament building just outside the western wall to the original city below the eastern perimeter would take about a half hour (though leave a lot more time for browsing and hot chocolate)."

It is time for our friends from USA to come to Quebec City in Canada !

Canadian dollar will drop to 59 cents US in 2016....

Read this : http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/macquari.......3401644

You will save so much up here !!!!

Hard for us , good for you !

Quebec City, Canada

For Canadians and Americans, Quebec City is a great destination to give you a taste of Europe within North America.

Affordability – The Canadian dollar is currently quite low (about 70% of the US dollar) making the city quite affordable for Canadians and just about anyone traveling to Canada. Here’s an example of a hotel you could book in Quebec for the equivalent of US$100. And here’s an example of a hostel you could book for less than US$25 per night. According to Expatistan, Quebec City is generally a little less expensive than my home of Toronto.

Cost to get there – A flight from Toronto to Quebec City return is about US$200. You can also travel there from anywhere in North America by bus and train. Obviously, the cost jumps significantly from outside North America.

Interesting and fun – Old Quebec is a UNESCO-listed site and well worth a wander. The city has great restaurants with excellent food. If you go in the winter, take in their famous Winter Carnival, but go to Quebec City at just about any time of year and you’ll likely be able to take in a festival.

For those of you who don't mind paying a little more per night, the venue, La Capitole, also has a small 40 room four star boutique hotel. That is where I will be!

I have a question because the website is not clear: If you pay the full conference price $300 do you get access to Bich and Hedan ?

Thanks

Since the Saturday night Grand Gala show is also sold to the public, we ask you to reserve for the CAMaraderie at the latest on March 31st, 2016. After that date, we will not be able to confirm that you will keep your convention seat for that specific night.

This is the Gala staring Luc Langevin, Jeff McBride, Shin Lim, Shawn Farquhar, Le Montreal Trio, The Outerbridge and the Dressing Flash.

You would then be sitting at the balcony sections.

Schedule modification

Last Saturday we heard that our guest, Shin Lim, unfortunately got injured and will not be able to perform magic for a few weeks. He had to cancel his visit to the CAMaraderie in Québec. We wish him a prompt recovery and hope to have him with us in the next years.

Good news, we will have the chance to have Eric Jones, close up specialist, in Québec city for the CAMaraderie. He will do a lecture, he will perform in the close-up gala and in the grand gala on the Saturday night. This will be a great occasion to meet this exceptional magician.
