Personally coming from a radio producing background, I totally got the teaser trailer. Its designed to be simply just that, a teaser. Not a trailer...or a demo...just a teaser folks. The text itself is what is supposed to grab your attention, not so much the lines being drawn on the box. I fully knew after reading the first one or two texts, and seeing the door being drawn... this effect should be very interesting.
Roddy, well done on the teaser sir...even if everybody else loathes it... I fully got it, and dug it. Onto the effect itself, despite the various feeling in regards to the teaser....will we be able to offer an un-forced card on the spec? Will we be required to wear a certain type/color of clothing? sleeves needed? etc.
My first name rhymes with Magician

So if you're going to Blackpool and you're even slightly intrigued by this, I suggest you find Roddy in the dealer's hall as soon as it opens because if you leave it too long to see this thing you'll miss out.
Honestly, Roddy will spend longer getting a beer in the Ruskin than it'll take to sell out of this thing!

Unless it's another teaser. I suppose a booth with no product just people testifying about how good it is would really generate a buzz. It would only waste a few minutes of peoples time so no one would have any reason to complain. |

The DVD cover showing a red door with beams of light streaming out of the open doorway?
That does look good. May not be what the trick looks like in real life though. |

Yep. Exactly.
Pretty *** cool. That combined with another description of a similar effect, I let my imagination do the rest |

I'm at Blackpool and saw this thing demmed. It's amazing. Can't talk to performing as haven't bought it (yet) but it just put the biggest smile on my face.

On Feb 19, 2016, NicholasD wrote: Sorry, hadn't realized it wasn't out there. The basic element of the effect is that the magician draws a small door on the corner of the card box in sharpie. He then slides open the door he just drew to show the index of the card inside the box, closes the door and then wipes the sharpie off and the door is no longer there. It's about 99% as clean as the description there sounds. |
