Putting together a busking act for this spring and summer, and needed an outdoor-friendly table. This is easily and inexpensively made from a tray stand and a piece of 3/8 inch plywood.

The top is faux leather vinyl, stapled to the bottom of the board, then sealed and reinforced with duck tape. The cord is thumbtacked around the edge to give the table a lip as well as hide my less than perfect upholstery skills.

The bag/servante is a Civil War re-enactors haversack of nice thick leather, available through suttlers at around $100

Kit broken down ready for transport. Feel free to PM me with any questions. Total cost of this table was under $100, plus the bag.

How can you possibly do a magic act with a table that does not have BLACK ART WELLS? HEE HEE

Thanks Jerry and everyone else who commented. Put it through its paces last week and it worked great! The cord around the edge was the most expensive part, but well worth it -- prettier and easier than framing in wood.

I really like it. If you find you need to be able to change the height check out keyboard stands

Very nicely done. I wonder if the 'spider legs' can be DIY too.
