Supposedly around the 70's someone came up with the idea of performing the Ultra Mental Deck with the named card having an "X" written on the front or back (depending if it were odd or even) rather than being reversed. Can anyone verify this or help me who to credit? I know Sankey had a version like this, but his was not what I'm talking about. In the version I'm referring to, the cards can be spread face or face down showing no marks on the cards thanks to the roughing spray, and it's a matter of exposing the named card by showing the X on the face or back.

I used to do this back then. It's called X-Credable by Buddy Ackner.
