I'm looking at longboards right now as I've decided I'd like one.
As an artist, naturally, I'm very interested in the art on the boards and would like one with beautiful art. Landyachtz seems to be a brand that markets a style I like, and I'm glad to have found them, as I haven't found wildlife art like theirs on other brands yet, and I've looked at a bunch. If you've seen one you think I might like, would you please post here? I'm considering several boards with a particular Landyachtz artist's work on them. I really like the bear you'll find depicted at this link, but I don't think it made it onto a board in a series, at least I haven't found it. I think it may have been a special limited edition art series only. This thread is intended to discuss different formats of illustration. I've been thinking about posting one regarding book illustrators but now they have a home here, too. Got some great ones I'd like to mention. I've considered collecting, but I want less stuff, so I'll just store them here instead. Here's some of Andreas Preis' Landyachtz work, along with the touted bear: http://www.designerpreis.com/101481/7642......graphics |

Well, I just bought a longboard!
$139.49 CDN (about $103.00 US), including import/shipping. 44" kicktail. Bamboo & Maple hybrid. These boards are getting great reviews and at a highly economical prices. |

In terms of illustration, one of the illustrators I think I was referring to in the OP, is Ralph Thompson, who I think I discovered upon reading Gerald Durrell's The Whispering Land.
I believe the cover was a photograph, but the following is a sample of his work: Wonderful artist. https://www.google.com/search?q=ralph+th......#imgrc=_ |

Another I think I had in mind when I first posted here is Gordon Allen whose drawings appear in The Grizzly Bear by Thomas McNamee.

Ernest Thompson Seton, too, who I was just reminded about. It's been a few years since I've read these works and he somehow slipped my mind.
Also, Olaus Murie. |
