I'm interested in learning Nate Kranzo's coin thru silk routine as I'm a big fan of this type of magic, I have noticed that this routine is on a few of Nate's dvd's and wondered which one offers the better learning experience over the other or are they all exactly the same ?
At the moment I was thinking of purchasing Outside The Box as this is the cheapest option as it's only this particular routine I'm interested in unless the teaching is clearer on a different dvd. |

With the lack of responses I presume not many people are using this which makes it even more appealing to me now

Hi Warren,
I only just saw your thread, but thought I'd reply if it is of any help! A great place to learn the routine is the "International Magic Lecture" DVD. There are many other great resources to check out if you are wanting other rapproaches, such as Vernon, Kaps, Cellini, Ammar, Chris Power, Tom Stone, Al Schneider and our own Vinny Marini. I have pinched bits from the above and also added one piece of my own, so hopefully you can put together something that works for you. Kindest regards Alan |

Thanks Allen,
I have the Ammar version and I'm familiar with Chris Powers brilliant handling, I've seen Al Schneiders version but I'm not familiar with any of the others. I'll check out the International Magic Lecture DVD as the Kranzo routine does appeal to me.....thanks again for the info |

The type of things I'm looking for in coins thru silk is first a see thru type silk as used in the Kranzo/Ammar/ Chris Powers versions, also I don't like it when the coins are removed from the silk before each phase as in the Ammar version.... I think Chris Powers version is much stronger due to the coins merely being placed into the silk and then removed magically one at a time with no fiddling between phases, unless the coins are removed and put back magically as in the Kranzo routine.

In my Handleing In the Sound routine Book The 1 st 2 coins come thru with no work. then you show that there is only one left. Then the 3 th. one comes trou!

Is there a clip of the routine in action anywhere.... Also does it finish in the spectators hand or do all the phases happen in the spectators hands ?

No There is not. The way it is witten up now no it does not finish in the Spectators hand. But all you would have to do is wrap the silk around the coin put the coin and silk in the spectators hands and pull out the silk!

Thanks for the info Dave it's most appreciated but for now I think I'll stick with the Kranzo version as I've actually seen that so I'm more familiar with it.

There is a version in "T.U.C. Appreciation" that provides enhancements and greater astonishment. Designed for the TUC, but other gaffs can be used as well.
The focus was to eliminate some of the common complaints, and to fuel individual creativity in presentation once the new moves are mastered.
