Is this available from a US dealer, or only on the paralabs site?

Hi Tim,
As each pad has to be handmade (the constructions doesn't allow to be machine-made) you'll get it from us only for now. This may change at some point - time will tell - but for the foreseeable future you would get it from our shop in Germany only; which actually means that the delivery takes about two business days after shipping as all international orders are shipped via FedEx Express. Cheers Th. |

Thanks for clarifying, Thomas ! No big deal as I think that your delivery through FedEx is extremely fast (and safe). Jan

As I've said before, I typically hate mentalism. I've tried many times over my 30 years in the biz to like it but, with a few exceptions, I just never find it believable or entertaining. So I wasn't going to watch this lecture, but I"m glad I did. Jan is likable, engaging and put a ton of thinking into his routines and presentation. Really great to watch. As others have admitted, the peek and the mem deck fooled the pants off me. Very well done Jan.

Thanks, Eric, I certainly understand your feelings and opinions. I believe firmly that not everyone can or should do mentalism. For a very long time I was a magician as well, but decided to take a different road many years ago. So I know both sides. Knowing and studying both sides is a huge advantage. When I decided to turn completely into mentalism I had several personal goals and stimulation. I wanted to do my thing, but I was and I am aware of opinions like yours which do not appear surprisingly or without any good reasons... One of my goals was to be able reaching a big(ger) "normal" audience and keep them interested for two hours or so in what I do and I have to offer for them. While I've achieved this apparently, even still increasing here, I might have lost a few (mainly colleagues), but that was the prize I was willing to pay. Jan

Late to the party but having told Jan how much I enjoyed his lecture I also wanted to stop in here and share some more well-deserved praise.
If you have not seen it already, there are a ton of reasons to watch Jan’s lecture. His act is fantastic. Jan has a great energy and a commanding stage presence clearly the result of decades spent performing. His act is engaging and polished from the start to the very end. He knows how to focus attention on the right place at the right time. The lecture is fantastic. Jan explains each routine, his thinking and the performance in every detail. Each routine presented is wonderfully constructed, the plots and effects are crystal clear and the methodologies at work are ingenious. The thinking behind each idea is often as enjoyable to watch as the performance. There are lessons in the lecture that will benefit performers at every level. But none of these are the reasons I enjoyed it so much. For me it was simply enjoying watching a performer who knows how to connect with people, and fool them at the same time. Watching Jan at work provides an insight to this very important aspect of his craft. A pleasure seeing you work Jan, All the best, Greg

What an absolute joy it was to watch a mentalism lecture where the performer was in full command of all aspects of their craft. Jan's relaxed yet confident demeanour on stage is an object lesson for any young mentalist to follow. The fact that the effects were superb was simply a wonderful bonus.
Great stuff, Jan. |
