I was familiar with Peter's A****** but from the trailer it didn't seem like he added much to it. So I was a little hesitant getting it, but hey, its Peter Turner and I'd pay $20 just to hear him talk for an hour easy. I asked Jacob (who was with Peter in the explanation part of the download) and he recommended getting it as there were two new things (not shown in the trailer) that he thought I'd like. He was right.
Peter first starts off explaining his standard method of obtaining a star sign which I'm sure most of us are familiar with. Then he goes into two other methods of revealing it. One of which I'm very excited to try out, not just with star signs but with other things such as thought of months or practically anything from a category. This one is bold but much cleaner than the others and feels like real mindreading. The other method is more suited for those participants that are more visually oriented and doesn't deal with letters at all, which was refreshing and also nice for repeat performances too. Peter even quickly goes into creating your own A****** which is helpful and straight to the point. But what I took the most out of this download were (as always) Peter's subtleties and scripts. A small problem I found with "raising" the question of using letters is that it seemed too much like a puzzle, if not presented the right way. But Peter (for the first time if I'm correct) gives a solid reason why he names off letters and it just makes much more sense for the participants. I should also mention that Peter goes into reading people based off of their star signs. This is something I'm not too crazy about because I personally don't like to use stock lines but it'll be good for those that are getting into cold reading. Peter does a good job explaining how this hits harder for some than others but without me revealing too much it's always nice to have a few of these things to think about during your reading. Overall this is a solid update to Peter's already great and impromptu way of revealing very personal information you shouldn't know. I'd recommend this to anyone that is either new to star signs or someone like me who wants to walk away with the updated subtleties from the great mind that Peter has. Michael |

Okayyy...finally a review which is more than a couple of lines...and fairly detailed....although quite guarded....Oh...sorry I started doing a reading of the review...forced by habit...
Magidoc, thank you so much for the detailed review. And welcome aboard I think I'll wait for the book Zodiac Mentalism. That's purely my personal opinion, obviousy.
There is no better freedom than choice and no better choice than freedom.

Any point picking this up? I use Isabella's Star 2 with Murray's cards (I've been using a c**b for the zodiac symbols though since I've never tried committing the images and their names to memory). I also have the ATT, both Penguin lectures, and Freeform Mentalism. They all (minus the second Penguin lecture) has covered his star sign divination so I'm not sure if Astronomical makes sense for me to pick up at this point so I could be wrong (thus asking).

IMAGINACIAN, no problemo. Happy I can help.
Kissdadookie, I also have all of what you mentioned (minus IS2) and I was told the bolder method I mentioned in my review was in IS2 but I don't know if the visual method was also... I wasn't aware Peter was making Zodiac Mentalism but that may have had an impact on my purchase if I had known. Either way its a little over an hour of Peter Turner updating his knowledge of star signs. If I were to make the decision again I would probably buy it again but for the subtleties I will be using for other effects. |

Hi all, I assume that this effect will only work if you perform only in the English language?

No it will work with other languages.
This is a very good download. Not only the principles behind the effect. But the deep thought process that Peter goes into on so many ways to reveal it. I am happy with the purchase of this effect. Todd |

I don't usually divine zodiac signs because I don't want to affirm astrology, though I know several strong methods for the right circumstances. Still, I learned a few tools from "Astronomical" that can be used for other effects, and that's what I found most interesting.
First, Peter taught his personal PA, and I was concerned that might be the end of it. I don't like PA's much - too many guys look like they're good at playing Hangman or Wheel of Fortune. Peter made it look better. For me, Doug Dyment's "Sign Language" PA excels at justifying misses before turning them into hits. For example, a PA script that flows might say, "I'm getting two C-shaped letters... are there two C's? No? Wait... ah, they're shaped like C's but they're turned sideways... Those are U's... You must be a Taurus." Compare that with, "See it in your mind... Scorpio. No? Oh! Cancer." The participant might wonder how you confused Scorpio for Cancer? To my memory, Peter didn't talk about covering that kind of discrepancy. To some, that won't matter. Peter did teach how to build PA's for any bank of words, and that's useful. Because I dislike most PA's, I was disappointed... until Peter taught propless ways to get information without using a PA. I like those, especially because Peter's tools transcend astrological effects. He recommended something from Michael Murray's book but didn't teach it. That's okay, because then he taught two brilliant ways to categorize someone's sign without them speaking (Earth, Air, Fire, Water), some pumping techniques (including one I'd never heard before), verbal revelations, and an optional safety-net with a business card that's useful beyond telling someone their sign. Peter's explanation of how he gives readings is easy and succinct. I purchased "Astronomical" for $19.95, before the introductory price ended. Though I'm not a fan of star sign effects, I found some new tools and I'd say I got my money's worth.
The secret of deception is in making the truth seem ridiculous.

SOLID purchase. The material is pretty much not Isabella's Star. Isabella's Star is still better though as there's something there which you don't get with Astronomical.

Awesome material from Peter, as always.
If you think that you know how to approach zodiac divination in a propless way, this will make you think again. I am so happy that I live in the same time period that my brother Peter. Funny also that some of my own techniques to do this work are similar to him. I feel like a little Turner sometimes haha. Just for the performances I would pay the price. An absolute great lecture by Peter Turner. Worth more than the asking price!
I do have a question for those familiar with the second methodology, "The Frame": how does one handle "Leo"?
Why is it that on one side of the world a person looks at a picture of the Grand Canyon and says, "it looks so real." At the same time on the other side of the world a person looks at the Grand Canyon and says, "it looks like a picture."
