I ordered a set too. The stickers were just a bit of an initial let down, but I do agree for the price, its a nice deal.

And if the stickers aid in the smoothness of operation, then that's a good trade off.

Im glad splits are included too.

I'm an STC fan and so ordered this set too. I think some are spending to much energy on the 'what if' stickers wear etc. if anything like STC, not only easily replaced inexpensively but also a variety of selections to change up too.

I agree, and even though I have a pretty nice collection of gaffs in silver coins and love them all, I have found that poker ships seem to be more relatable to people and just create more (or at least as much) interest. A lot more opportunity to create a storyline too IMO.

Although I do love the sound that silver coins make I have found I also love the sound that good clay chips make, so one concern about these is what they are made out of and if they sound like real chips. Not for the audience's sake, they don't care, but for my own personal pleasure. Okay, so I have a fetish for small round discs, so what?

What size are these, as I want to use them with my Blackbird gimmick by Jeff Copeland?
If I missed it above, my bad.

They're the size of normal poker chips - so slightly larger than dollar coins. They won't work with your Blackbird unless you modify it permanently.

I don't remember the last time I actually pre-ordered something. I jumped on this. Am still confused a bit about the sticker issue. I didn't like the fact that they are branded Murphy's. I thought THAT part was the sticker, but now it sounds like they go all the way to the edge. Either way...looking forward to this.

The stickers go all the way to the edge and may be replaced by your own design.

Stickers are okay, lay people won't know the difference. You let people handle the props not examinine them, by them handling the chips this will be discerning enough to say they are what they are. My order is in.

"lay people won't know the difference" I'm afraid I have to disagree. After working in casinos for the best part of twenty years I guarantee that the vast majority of lay people, particularly staff and the thousands of poker players I have met over the years would very quickly realise these aren't real poker or casino chips.
Don't get me wrong I think this is a great idea with lots of potential but I think I'll wait for version 2.0

I wonder if they've been tested endurance wise? Stickers sliding / friction etc. I'm very dubious that these will stand the test of time. I suppose very careful handling will prolong their use.

Since the stickers are replaceable with one's own, they most likely haven't been put through an extensive endurance test because performers will have varying mileage.

I've been playing around with this set today and really it is a no brainer if you want to get into chip/coin work at a really low entry price, or even if you do coin work to change to coloured chips.

The set is well made and the routines taught are in the easy ability range with a little practice.

The coin through table is one I really like and it not hard to do and the colour changes with the splits looks crazy.

I can see the labels standing up well with use and if they do eventually wear I think you would have had your moneys worth in the process.

For the money the set is amazing and a no brainer if you want to start learning some great chip/coin routines.

We have it listed here http://www.saturnmagic.co.uk/new-magic/s......ick.html

What I meant was, with many gift shops and toy shops selling poker sets and Texas Hold'em sets people may think these come from a place like that, and not from a casino.

Again, the stickers are replaceable with your own better looking or routine oriented design. With that said, getting one's money's worth with the existing stickers is a non-issue.

I really like the use of colors that the poker chip has to offer but I am not sold on these yet. Will await some more reviews...

Even though Titanus posts have not been very helpful , I did check this out today and this is very good,

A lot has been made about the sticker issue but this is not a shinny sicker but Matt and covers the whole surface of the chip , from a laymans point of view it looks like a regular poker chip , this also has the advantage that when you are using the shell chips with the extra sticker on the inside no one would notice if you flash this

As pointed out what you get for your money is very good value when you consider you get both a red and blue set in the same box

Most people that know me will tell you that I do not pre order anything ,but as I was so impressed I have actually pre ordered this !

What on earth are you talking about Jack?

And the name misspell is extremely childish.

Unless you're 12.

Sorry that's the auto correct on iPhone

The point is there have been lots of concerns about the stickers which considering he said he had looked at the chips in question
This originally put me off as well as others from purchasing

He could have put people's minds at rest by advising what the stickers looked like and the fact they are Matt and not shinny but as usual he did not

If you take time to read my post I have said now I have looked at them I am very impressed

Perhaps one day they will sell replacement stickers?
Honestly I wouldn't know how to make quality stickers myself.
Any thoughts/Tips on how to do that would be appreciated.
Thanks for any help!

local print shops. they also sell sticker paper that you can the put a coating on to make it stand up. Then there is vinyl. There are options out there but until these are out in the wild no one knows what they stickers are like and those who know aren't saying.
