Amateurs buy a set of Kem’s and then expect them to last a lifetime.
The coffee cup method seems popular. http://forums.homepokertourney.com/index......7.0.html
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

I friend of mine told me he tried the coffee cup method to straighten some plastic decks. The decks came out great but the cup got warped.
Well, that is what he said anyway. |

I'm looking to construct a peek deck and am considering plastic cards. I see that cartamundi's are actually thicker than Bikes. Surprised me -- glad I didn't pull the trigger on buying a deck. I want thin plastic cards. Any data on which of the 100% plastic cards are the thinnest?

Kem cards became popular because if there durability then sometime around 2000ish the manufacturer sold the rights to another company and the new company changed the ingredients to a plastic with more PVC. This caused the cards to become brittle. In fact the old Kem cards rarely split in the shuffle machines. After this change was made shuffle machines would tear Kem cards apart.
