2 things
Since Fantasio is no longer in business, who makes a plastic appearing cane that is of the same quality. The other question is this. I have a metal cane. When I release it, the top section doesn' keep it's shape and stay tight. It sepetates and hangs loose. Kind of ruins the effect. I did buy the cane in a lot at an auction. Supposedly never used. I guess you get what you pay for. Any ideas of tips on keeping this from happening? Thanks

The one that come in a little green box, looks pretty good and close to Fantasio quality. The manufacturer seems to be reluctant to reveal the manufacturer. Fantasio has not announced, that I know of, if he has sold the manufacturing rights, not that he has to.
As far as you metal cane, there was a shipment of them that had the wrong kind of white tape on the end. It was more like cloth tape, and that prevented the smooth action. You might try getting some 3M plastic tape, 1-1/2 or is 1-1/4", anyway the wide one, and put that on the end. The smooth surface should prevent the unwinding. |

Thanks Bill.
The tape on the metal cane is shiny. Almost halogram looking. Although the tape looks kind of bunched up on the inner edge. I think I will replace it and see what happens.

Good luck Jack. I hope the tape works for you. If the winding is "sprung" at the top there is no way to fix the cane.
