I've had a trick for five years that rust is now beginning to destroy, but I can't find anything similar anywhere!
A variation of a presentation tube I guess, mine is yellow with a black lid. Flames come out the top, slam the lad, when opened I pour water out, once it's empty I reach inside and pull out a treasure map! Does anyone have any idea what this trick is called or when I can find one? |

U.F. Grant aks Mak Magic had a can called the Devil's Can or Canister, but it did not come with a lid as I remember. Fire set a flame, a bill thrown in an burnt up, the bill is then found at any other location. Utility item, may be used for other effects.
No longer made. http://magictrickinstructions.com/downlo......nnister/ http://www.martinsmagic.com/allmagic/fir......k-magic/ What you can do is get the rust paint at auto stores, it hardens the rust, and it is possible to sand and paint it back good as new. It also stops it from rusting any further. |

The Grant can is used for stealing objects.
There are some with a lid and dual load called "fire cans." Over the years several suppliers have made similar things. Ask a dealer. |

I've asked a number of dealers but no one knows where to find it, five years ago every website stocked it!

Fire is a no - no these days, and it a Mak Magic product. Toward the top of the can, the shelf has asbestos material glued on it. Several years ago, I purchased a roll of material that you put in the bottom of outdoor grills, to help the grill last a little longer. Don't know if they are available any longer. I purchased it at a hardware store.
So a possible reason they are not available would be that it deals with fire, and has asbestos material, which cannot be used here in the U.S. anymore. Contrary to above comments, it did not come with a cover. I have the old Mak Magic catalog. It was made out of tin, any can from the grocery store can be converted to this effect, if you can solder. |
