Don't expect it before 2019. In another thread...

Magic Rainbow should be translated by the end of the year or earlier. Then there is a process that might take another year or so.

I've been reading the Spanish version and you all will love what's to come. I'll be buying the English version as well to reread it all over.

I finished the translation a couple of months ago. This is part of a process that includes typesetting, revisions, proofreads, design, printing, distributing... It looks like it will be out by the end of 2018. And it's a great book,500+ pages, all theory, amazing, so well worth the wait. It's the work of a lifetime. Substantial contents and a captivating read. The real secrets. The things that really matter. What audiences are sensitive to. Deep insights on being an artist, on the true essence of the art.

Dear friends:

A heads up on this book. If you are looking forward to read it and study it (and you should) may I humbly but HIGHLY recommend that you read the book "Dramaturgie" by Yves Lavandier. In english the books is called "Writing Drama" although the translation of the title is an "epic fail".

Regardless, the book is mentioned by Juan in the book a couple of times, but it seems to me that is in some way the "backbone" of much of Tamariz writes in the book. Again, I highly recommend it. It explores the entire notion of drama and feelings. If you read it you will be well prepared for the Rainbow.

Hope this helps you,

Cheers

Max

PS: the original book is in french and is available in spanish and english, at least.

I'll try when I get home. It's very large, and the image dimension limitations on the Café are rather small.

Wow this is such an expensive price... I don't understand how the translation to English made its cost raise that much, for instance the French edition is about half the price and was out way before.

Is this only available via Penguin or will it also be available elsewhere?

The Spanish version was more or less this price (the English one). I don’t see how getting 40 years of Tamariz’ study of magic can be expensive. Even $1000 is still cheap.
