Blackpool will be funny to see. Everyone walking around with cardboard boxes under their arms. And by the sounds of it a lot of those will be defective units being returned.

I love Angelo Carbone's recent releases but this trick never impressed me at all. The method was easy to figure out on the video. Why would anyone carry a deck of cards and a prediction in a box. I don't get it but I predict a lot of magicians will be disappointed! I'd much rather perform Stephen Minch and Danny Tong's DieAbolical Coincidence instead! DieAbolical Coincidence is one of the best effects you can perform with cards, die and a prediction.

Where can I find this trick, using Google got nowhere? Thanks.

(Even avoiding Google's spell correction!).

Guys if you have a problem with the box then contact your dealer but please don't assume everyone has defective boxes. That's really unfair and unkind. Many people have posted here and in the dedicated group that they are more than happy with their purchase. If there is the odd glitch then we are sorry and it will be fixed but don't spread rumours which are untrue.

Please.

Guys don't mind Pegasus, everybody here knows he is troll.
He always hates the best items.
I knew this one is great when I saw his first negative post.

I find it a shame that whenever a new effect comes out the method is ALWAYS exposed after a short time. In my opinion the "Latest and Greatest" should not be used for questions that potentially expose methods, perhaps "Inner Thoughts" is a more acceptable place to discuss such matters as it is not accessible to the general public.

Those that know me know that I'm kidding. I know this is an awesome creation by Angelo, not for me, but great for others. I'm just trying to add some humour, come on guys. Smile Smile
I want to see everyone in Blackpool walking around with a box under their arms.

I don't think it's fair to consider him as a troll - and not correct that he hates the best items, only he comments on factors or potential issues/concerns people sometimes choose to avoid.

Thanks for the heads up

I can see the point you are making but it's not just good for one effect as such....I have managed to get around 40 minutes of good entertainment in my box alongside the main effect so I'm not presenting the box as the effect, it just looks like a box that I keep my effects in...in my box I have got the deck that is now set to perform nothing but the truth(Cameron Francis) then little door(Roddy McGhie) once the little door gimmick is ditched the deck is all set for the main effect, I also have pocket money(Wayne Dobson) casino con(Steve gore) a small envelope containing something used for the main effect the gift....so I'm sure with a bit of thought this utility box can be used for more than just one effect.

For all those facing problems with the activator I would suggest you make one yourself by placing the THING under a Band-Aid ('cause you hurt your Thumb/Finger Smile ) on your Thumb or on any Finger you feel most comfortable with. This will activate the GIFT box always and every time without fail. Also your modified activator is in plain sight right under the nose of the spectator. Try it and see it for yourself - It's very simple and easy to prepare and operate. All is Fair in Love and Magic. Smile

Enjoy! Smile

This method reminds me of Louie Gaynor's Misers Dream Box II, where you even receive a band—aid. And speaking of this item, the method is the same as at The Gift, but you can produce half dollars with the Misers Dream Box, 4, and an extra 4 (produced from the lid) from the empty box.

I just wonder if Angelo Carbone is inspired by this little gem...

PS I received my copy of The Gift yesterday, and I am very happy with it, there are no issues at all. I prefer however to use a PK ring, works fantastic.

Most of these boxes will never see the light of day when it comes to being used in an actual performance. They will eventually find a place in the closet or drawer next to all the other releases everyone couldn't live without (which also had defective parts in many of the units sold) in the months/years passed...

Why is a normal deck of cards supplied with The Gift?
As someone suggested
I assumed probably incorrectly that it was a clever forcing deck for the 4 outs

The deck is included because it's a clever forcing deck for the 4 outs

I have the gift. I think it's great! The box is very well designed and after watching the online training clips I do believe this can be a great utility tool!
Ustaad mention something that I've tried out only a few hours ago and it's 100 percent sure fire!
