David I like your reviews but you said the deck can pass inspection and that is not true. The deck is NOT inspectable.

It's a casual inspection - being that the spectator handles the deck and deals through the cards with no prompting from you. "Vanished and Gone" is the same principle, the spectator can hold the deck and deal through the entire deck and never see "the secret"

I love this it's brilliant but want to use it more . Any suggestions on how to carry it around if you are table hopping? I would like to show this effect to all my tables as have a couple of different routines with it . Best wishes Tarik 🙂

I agree it's brilliant and love it too.
Now I haven't table hopped in years but it seems to me that beyond carrying it, constantly having to reset it would quickly become a hassle as well as producing a lot of wear and tear on the box. I wouldn't want to try and reset it between tables, out in the open, while moving about no less. Just don't see how you can avoid looking like you are fiddling around inside the box too much. With all the other possible effects available I can't imagine wanting to go to the trouble myself, but if you can then more power to you. But I'd save it for a couple special tables and be able to give it the time and focus it deserves. |

Any tips on how to mark the outside of the black version? A pencil dot won't show up, and my eyesight isn't that great anyway. I was thinking of maybe using a bit of black sticker along one bottom edge, so I can find the right side by feel. Any other thoughts?

I read somewhere that the small (usually gold) sticker that says "Made in XXXXX" works great.
It seems like a novelty item with the sticker. Charlie |

I started out using a "Made in China" sticker but ended up removing it and used the edge of a coin to make a very indiscreet nick on the bottom edge of one side. I've heard of others using a prominent "?" ( question mark) on the front and referring to it as the "Box of Mystery" or something along those lines.
But now I found I really don't need any markings at all. If you begin with a card box inside of it (or any object that can't move or shift around) then I just use that to orient the box in the correct position when I open it at the beginning. It then just sits there undisturbed until I come back to it. I've never had a problem with spectators grabbing it or moving it prematurely as there is no reason for them to care about the box at that point (or actually, at any point.) I do still have the nick as a failsafe but never need it. |

I have the black version. I used a silver Sharpie marker and placed one single dot in the lower right hand corner of the box. Never been noticed and allows me to see it at a distance and orientate the box correctly.

I have always just used the deck inside the box as my orientation check. I know when I place it on the table after removing that deck which way is which.
However having accidentally lost orientation twice in performance, I now have a strong nail nick on one side of the box and on one side of the lid. Lesson learnt. If you want a more tactile mark to feel, you could use a small dot of glue from a hot glue gun.

Hi guys, I love the made in china sticker idea!
That not only gives you the orientation but also totally disarms the box. Cheers Stefan |

Speaking of made in China sticker though China has taken this and copied it and sells it for about 20.00 they even call it The Gift by Angelo Carbone and use the same picture of the real item. I have the real one and not the knockoff but I am sure Mr. Carbone gets nothing from these knockoffs. I saw hem on the site everyone is familiar with and this really annoys me because I can see people that come up with a brilliant idea, not wasting their time releasing it to the magic fraternity.
The gift is by no means the only item, I have the original Kronos and I see it to was knocked off the same way using the inventors name. |

Yes I encourage anyone please not to buy any knockoffs. You really get what you pay for and the quality is not good so you would really be throwing your money down the drain. I have seen a couple in person and they would not fool anyone upon closer inspection. If the asking price is no where near the RRP price then it's a counterfeit item. Period. This goes for any magic trick not just this one. Don't buy knock offs in general. My friend got badly burned with a counterfeit version of "Probe". See photo. They are cheap for a reason.
