I need help from you guys. Im looking for an effect like "the thing" or "ghost catcher" but I just need it to happen on a table. No need to have it float around. Most haunted silks have this weird tall point. I want it to look more like "the thing" instead of a pop up tent. Does anybody know of a hank like this? Help.
My youtube channel check it out its magic.
im not great but getting better. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMvQIycva0rFOIdArln7lEg |

Take a look at Norm Neilson's Ghost Catcher.
https://nnmagic.com/store/magic-tricks/ghost-catcher/ Don't quite understand, some float in the air or move about. Only Glorpy Gurglating the Ghost (no longer available) or Hyrum the Haunted Hank was done on a table. These all use the "tent" feature, as the ghost moves up to show it is their. The Thing most likely could be done at a table with the knowledge of lapping and cover with the cloth if seated at a table. I don't know how detailed the instructions are with Ghost Catcher. You might contact Norm Nielsen company and see if they provide detailed instructions for working it close up at a table. Explain your situation and requirements might help with them helping. You need to know how to conceal the gimmick on you person, transfer the gimmick from the position to the cloth, move it about, then ditch it back on your person. There was a floating spoon marketed years ago, but no longer available that gave details how to present it. This is the kind of information you need, it is possible, but there is nothing that I can reference you to gain that knowledge. |

Any do-it-yourself haunted hank, like the ones shown in "Hank, the Ghost Hank" in the Wizards' Journal #16, or even Qua-Fiki's "Babushka of Baba Yaga" from The Wizards' Journal #21 can be made to have a rounded look rather than a pointy look. It just takes a little nerve and a little curve.

I attended a magic convention one year, as I walked down the isle of dealers, there was Al Schneider performing with a regular Zombie ball, seated at the table.
