Hello friends,
This is the link of the magic performance I did in my college recently. Please have a look at it. Would love to hear from you all. https://youtu.be/moZOGIRTU0Y Cheers Asif |

Hey Asif!
Good Stuff! I remember watching your first performance as well. You look pretty comfortable up there. Some things I may suggest, maybe instead of going behind the big chalk(?) board to paint your prediction, have a something smaller like (what artists use) an easel. This way the audience still can not see the prediction, but they can see you better. Unless that was part of the act? I also noticed your spectator on stage, left his position to come back and see what you were doing. Having a small easel placed closer to the middle/front of the stage (but on an angle where the spectator can not see), possibly giving them verbal instructions, or maybe you don't care about this at all. Also, while you are drawing/painting your prediction, have some background music to play? It may or may not work, but you'll have to try and see what fits your style.

Seems like you really connected to the audience as they were positively engaged with you.
ThSecret brought up a good point about that wandering spectator. I have a couple of 12-16 inch colorful rubber circles and stars that I place on the floor and explain to the spectator that this is his/her "Spot" and to stand on top of it. Or I will place a star down and explain that they are going to be the star of the show and have to stand on it for the magic to happen. In the end it's just a polite way of crowd control and to make sure your volunteer is where you want them. I have not really had a wandering kid since I started using these at parties and I'm sure they would be just as helpful with a more mature audience. |

Thank you ThSecret and cuervo for your valuable advice. Both of you give me some insights into audience management, I'll try to implement them in my next show. Hoping to hear from more.
