Just curious if anyone is willing to estimate what each Apocalypse volume would cost. From my research thus far it looks like book 1 (Vol 1-5 BLUE) and book 3 (Vol 11-15 YELLOW) are very hard to find. Book 2 (RED) looks like it is about $60 and Book 4 (BLACK) looks like it is about $80.
Would like to eventually get all four and was just curious what price ranges I should expect. Thanks so much for any help or guidance. |

If you don't mind having a mixed set of volumes (meaning combining the original colored books plus either a collectors edition and/or loose leaf originals) one can put together the complete set for approximately $300. The second and fourth volumes appear frequently for sale and if one is
moderately patient they can find a copy for $50 (sometimes less) each. The first volume appears rarely but doesn't command very high prices, surprisingly, when it does. Expect to pay $75-$90 for it. The third volume is clearly the rarest to find on its own. Best bet is to get the collectors edition from L&L which is currently available for $150. The complete colored set does pop up a few times a year at auction or on sites such as this one and usually commands about $400. Best of luck! |

Shikina is correct about the price range. I have seen #3 get bid up to twice what the going price is, but I suspect it was a collusion to make the sale price appear inflated. Then, a couple of weeks later, it will re-appear for sale in the same price range. Here is a tip. Go on ebay and in the upper right hand corner is a search box. Next to it is the word "advanced". Click on it. The advanced search will appear. You can search listings about six months or so back. TO GET #3, I had to take a copy with a slight mark on the back. It was the very last color cover copy L&L they had, but I got it for $50! I really don't care about the collector value. I want the knowledge! I did the same for Card Craft. A slight smudge mark on the top right hand side of about 10 PAGES. Got it for $225. It normally sells in the $400-650 range. Good Luck! Jim Rose PS: Enjoy the hunt! Savor it and with each book you knock off your list, your enjoyment will grow!

I have bought and sold this set about 3 times over the years, and recently when I was able to get them back I paid about $550 for all of them just to get the whole set back at once. Every now and then a full set comes up on eBay for about that price or $400-$600. They are well worth it. 2 are OOP the blue and the yellow, so those two I have seen go for about $100-$200 each. You can also get the red and black ones for about $80 on Penguin. and watch for the other two on eBay or on here. I always regretted selling them but back then knew I probably could get them back, and it got harder so now I doubt I will sell them again any time soon lol. I just saw a set on eBay awhile back which I believe sold. I think they are also in ebook now as well but I prefer actual books and ebooks are good as last resort or back up. But if you really want them you will just have to wait till they all come up again here or on eBay and pay the price they want, or what they are worth to you.
Or get two for now and try and wait for the other two to come up. I did that also way back but it seemed easier to just wait for the whole set which actually came up more often than the yellow and blue book alone. It sucked when I had 3 and needed the yellow one which came up in a full set. I almost bought the set and was gonna sell my 3 individually but decided to wait and after quite awhile the yellow one finally came up. Was like $150. I also see original single issue lots on eBay as well.
