Hi guys,
I am looking for an easy way for a spectator to perform the equivalent of a riffle shuffle for a packet of about 20 cards (10 in each pile). The cards need to be mixed in order to take advantage of the gilbreath principle. I've looked at the rosetta shuffle, which doesn't work too well with small numbers of cards. I've also conisdered making two ribbon spreads of 10 cards each and asking the spectator to push them together, but this also seems a bit awkward. Any suggestions? Thanks, Chris |

You could take half the cards and the spectator the other. Thumb on top and fingers curled underneath type of grip. Use your other hand to lift the cards and release like half a riffle shuffle. You both do the riffle with your packets but bringing them close so they touch. It is essentially a two person riffle shuffle.

Thanks, Ryan! That's a really good idea. It might also might be a good way to help retain a top stock when allowing spectators to shuffle. I suppose the action could be justified by being a way to teach them how to shuffle "casino style"

If its a relatively small packet, have them hold one half in each hand and thumb off cards into a pile, alternating between left and right.
