I'm looking for ideas, working on a three trick set that uses two decks, a blue and red. Have the opener and closer, but looking for something in the middle. Maintaining the order is not an issue.
Thoughts? |

If you are using a red and a blue then you need to check out DanHarlan's "A Little R & B" DVD http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/2538

Poof-Daddy's suggestion is a brilliant one. I reviewed A Little R&B here when it was released. The routines are tight and the impact on spectators is absolutely wonderful. Dan Harlan created some truly powerful magic with this collection. It is some of the strongest card magic I have ever seen and/or performed.
I'll add another suggestion. If you have Apocalypse, look for a David Regal routine titled "Yes You Can Change Your Mind." It's a really strong routine. It's VERY late and I am too sleepy to snag the books from my shelves so let me know if you need a citation. |

Hi Mr. Vlad, (Hoping you are well!)
One can purchase the (above referenced) Regal effect, by e-mailing your request to: harrylorayne@earthlink.net . It is in "Apocalypse", pg. #2458/Jan., 1995 (Vol. 18, No. 1, 17th. Anniversary issue) |

Does the Dan Harlan DVD only include tricks with the gimmick?

I thought someone else would have answered by now. Yes, my DVD only uses the R&B gimmick... except for the bonus trick, but that's a bonus. |

Hey Dan, how are you?!!! To the OP: Dan’s R&B is really magical! Highly recommended.
If you’re looking for something using two regular decks, Bill Simon has a unique variation on the Do As I Do plot, entitled Dual Discovery. I found it in his Controlled Miracles booklet. |

Close Up Card magic by Harry Lorayne---Near the front is a trick called Two Card Reverse and then go to Sympathetic Decks further in the book. You will enjoy those

Also, the Enclyclopedia has one chapter devoted to tricks with two decks and one chapter devoted to DB cards.
Nick Trost's book "The Card Magic of Nick Trost" has a chapter devoted to tricks with two decks. Check out Kings Royale (though this would have to be the opener, I believe)! |

Two great routines wich use a red and a blue deck: Frank Garcias "One in a Million" and Alexander De Covas "Synchronus". Both are technically not difficult and give great reactions.

This may help? Involves a tiny bit of setup but it is very clean!

I'm a fan of Ed Marlo's "Matcho!" from the pamphlet by that name put out by Magic Inc. (It may have since been combined with other pamphlets of Marlo stuff from the 1940s and 50s.)

This is one that I came up with as a variation to Larry Jennings Mystery Card. It can certainly be done without the second deck, but I found that with a contrasting back the audience found it much more mystifying.

I heard from a friend that anecdotal evidence is actually quite reliable. |
